Placing the child for adoption is a honorable option to abortion.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Ghana: NPP Candidate, Mike Oquaye Washes Underwear For Woman During Campaign by Ndipe(m): 8:35am On Apr 17
Honorable men and women will still troop out enmasse to contest and vote in the right candidate but the elections still get rigged. So how can this political malfeasance/anti-democratic practices be eradicated once and for all?

quote author=theamazonguru post=129463553]

When the honorable ones shy away from public offices, as nature does not permit void, the dishonourable ones who can't succeed elsewhere accept the challenge because the reward is sumptuous and mouth watering.

Solution will only come when honourable men and women go out in mass to contest and flood public offices.

Simple. [/quote]

Its worse in America where students even fight with their teachers and sometimes if the teacher retaliates, they are then suspended. If you think I am making this up, look it up on youtube. It's crazy.

Family / Re: I Don't Care Neighbours by Ndipe(m): 12:25am On Apr 10
Unneighborly acts totally different from the compound I grew up in Calabar. When I visited my sister in Lagos, she told me that over there, tenants operate a "mind your own business mentality." which sort of surprised me because I didnt grow up that way. She invited one of the female security guards to a family wedding but she never showed face which surprised me but didnt surprise her because she said, "I knew she wont come." Growing up, I remember when one of my neighbors gave birth to a baby boy, my parents stopped by, uninvited, to greet them and they were welcomed warmly and I remembered the nursing mother gave us treats, anyway, it was expected because their kids were my childhood friends. To a grown-up living in the compound, if you did not rejoice with your neighbor during such festivities, people would think you had a very wicked heart. Similarly, when my mum gave birth, the whole compound stopped by to help during her Christening/dedication ceremony. It was like a feast. My dad was touched and elaborated on the hands on deck displayed by the neighbors during the ceremony. I think this uncaring attitude displayed by today's neighbor is common only in big cities like Abuja and Lagos and its partly due to crime, insecurity and the high cost of living. At the same time, I am not excusing them. It's sign of the times.

hizzylife:
Minding one's business is nice but we're beginning to take it too far to an unhealthy level. I and my husband recently moved into this house of 6flats after we got married. Nobody welcomed us as new neighbours. I noticed the neighbours were cold and some will pass without even greeting. I continued greeting them warmly when I meet them.

Between now and then 2 neighbours have done baby dedication and another's daughter got married. The invitations were sent through the compounds WhatsApp group. We innocently attended all not knowing the invites were just for formality sake. We wondered why other neighbours didn't come.

I gave birth last year and till today none of my neighbours that we all live in the same house together has said "oh madam you don born?" "Congratulations " "thank God for safe delivery ". Even the women amongst them who are mothers too. Even the one's we attended their events.
I'm not even expecting them to come to my apartment bearing gifts for baby but at least an acknowledgement for such an event. They'll see me spreading baby clothes or carrying baby out and not even a simple gesture to acknowledge that your neighbour put to birth. Is this wokeness or what?

I was just thinking about this issue today and wondering how things have changed. My father had a house of 4flats and I remember how everyone were to each other. Brother's keep. The children played together and attended school together etc. Here Nobody relates with each other.

It's strange and disheartening truly.

Muslims don't believe that Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God. If they don't believe in Him, how then will they then believe that it is only through Him that we have Salvation even they don't even believe He died for our sins?

Museveni has been in power since 1986, over three decades.

It's not. That man has been in power for decades. I think he first got elected in 1996. He would be 3 decades in power by 2026, so he is doing as he wishes.

Not necessarily true. There are expensive schools that have counsellors to serve as advisors to students. They may have teachers who can detect if a student has learning disabilities like dyselexia and provide ways to remedy them.
