Nothing!

If there was a fair and even playing ground...this dude won't be fit to shine the shoes of Chief Cletus Ibeto or sit in the same room with Chief Dr. Alexander Chika Okafor.

He inherited an already favoured business, diversified it and all successive governments from the 90s till date have ensured that it continues to thrive because they are "born to rule" while the Ibetos, Lulu-Briggs and Madukas aren't.

Well what do I even know?[/quote]

Who are the people that decide what gets to the nairaland homepage? A basic knowledge of the lives of these two individuals should have told the mod that this is just those made in naija motivational stories seasoned with half-truths and baked with ignorance. Trump, eve when he declared bankruptcy in 1991 could buy Tyson many times over....if he ever hired Trump for anything, Trump took it from a position of power.
Trump loved to be seen around celebs because he was at a time in showbiz with running a beauty pageant show. Trump na Tyson papa anytime. Do away with your post that reeks of ignorance and motivational nonsense. Na so dem talk Sir Shina Peters and Jim Ovia own. Liars!

You Atikulated lots are still denying a certain defeat? Can you say something is not locked-down that you won with over 50k votes?

Last election, about the same difference was recorded aginst Buhari for Jonathan and you are still not seeing that a former PDP "colony" has just been lost?

SexynSerious:
Haha. This projection must have been done by APC members.

Listen, I live in SE, Buhari will not win up to 20% of the votes in any SE or SS states (including Delta state). Take it to the bank.
And the idea that Buhari would win even Atiku's home state of Adamawa is just silly. In addition, I don't see Buhari winning all the SW states.
yes, Yoruba muslims will vote massively for him but remember that Yoruba states are mostly evenly divided between muslims and Christians.
personally, I think Buhari would lose Lagos, Ekiti and Ogun states.

I am calling the election for Atiku ... by a narrow margin.

And you can take it to the bank too grin

IPOB people like pontificating in their backwater, autonomous villages....we are here, "omo eni ko se idi bebere ki a fi ileke si idi omo elomiran". Two can play the tribal game. We shall see by this time tomorrow.

I was at berger the other day looking for a bus to iyana ipaja then I asked one woman where the bus was heading to then she said "Lagos". I was like wtf. Which part of Lagos na abi no be Lagos we dey again ni then she specified Lagos island. So na only people wey dey live for island dey Lagos. Funny enough she isn't the first person I'm hearing that kind of stuff from.

Okay…you learn everyday. The real Lagos, named by the Portuguese is Isale-Eko, Lagos Island gemerally. Everyother place in "Lagos" are independent towns and villages that became modernized and cosmoplitan due to the rapid development of the state. People even in Yaba will ask you in Yoruba, "E jowo buroda, nibo ni won ti n wo moto Eko?

It is not discrimination. It is how it is!

Politics / The Right Way To Write "Aluta Continua..." And Its Origin by NeuroBoss(m): 9:05pm On Feb 07, 2019
If people would use the now famous Portuguese slogan used by activists, labour unions and everyone associated with any kind of struggle, it is good they know how it is correctly written.
The slogan, a symbol of Mozambican political struggle is correctly written as "A luta continua, vitória é certa". It is wrong to write it as "Aluta continua, victoria ascerta". For where? The "A" is the definite article equivalent of English "the" and there is nothing like "Aluta" in Portuguese language. The "luta" itself is the "struggle". The "é" means "is" and conjugated from the verb, "ser" (to be). "Continua" is an inflection of the verb, "continuar" while "certa" meaning "sure" or "certain" is the feminine form of the adjective "certo".
The history that brought this into our lexicon and struggle-speak is still as recent as the 70's. All you SUG people who bandy intellectualism should correct this. I know it is not a language they speak but if they must put something into mainstream use, they could as well learn to use it correctly.
Boa sorte!

Buhari, your desperation to retain power is so strong.
One thing is certain, you might succeed in deceiving some fanatical yoryuba Muslimns, but you can't deceive progressive/Yoruba Christians.
We Christian Yorubas will not vote for you in 2019.
We won't vote for someone who is busy killing our Christian brothers in north central because we all know that once you are done with northern Christians, you will face southern Christians, Yoruba Christians included during your second tenure.
God forbids.!

If Abiola is so special in Yoruba land as you want to paint it, why did my people reject renaming Unilag after him ?
Abiola has come and gone, we have our way of mourning and remembering him.

Terrorist Buhari, your antics is dead on arrival .
Progressive Yorubas are wiser...

No, we didn't reject Abiola. Jonathan's honour was a half-wittex attempt at relegating Abiolas sacrifice and status as the Matyr of our nascent democracy to a regional or only a Yoruba thing. This is a good step by Buhari politics or no politics. You people should stop being impossible!
