Thank God oluwole trader eventually got a new place to do their business but few of them were left no place to display their goods because of the cost of getting the locK up shops.

I learnt they paid 1.5m for the lock up shop which is for few years till the shopping center is completed.

Some people think it is all of us that can afford our three square meal WITHOUT WHALA, if government is changing the colour of lagos, i think the masses should come first before.

Get to leeki and see what has been done, check Games, shop right and other places but every where can not be like lekki.as we av 5star hotels, we also av starless hotels

like my person mentioned earlier, government should work on virgin land and if they av to rebuild existing ones they should make it affordable for all not just for the bigger boys.

Again nobody is frowning at changing lagos island but they should not make life miserable for these men that are willing to work.
Lagos is the centre of commerce

That is a better presentation of your views than your previous emotional outburst tetede Wink

I'm glad you're now seeing the evidence of the relocation plans and so oneven though not perfect.

No one is thinking we are all on the same income level, but in order to generate real wealth, some painful decisions must be made. Opportunities will open up to trade in other areas, but some redevelopment areas will not be suitable for certain category of traders, because of the type of clientèle they attract, or because such trading activities mitigate against larger benefits for the society as a whole.

The Lagos Island LG should strive to designate areas where other trading can be done in an affordable manner, while ensuring that town planning regulations are strictly adhered to, without favoring the 'bigger boys' or the masses.

Truth be told, everywhere cannot be like Lekki, but this is Downtown Lagos, Central Business DistrictONLY the BEST is suitable for that location.

oluwole is not 'everywhere', it is located at the center of the Lagos Downtown/CBD thus it deserves the best development that can be placed there.

No one is converting everywhere to Lekki, there are many other locations for trading, and many large trading locations are put on the outskirts of big cities these days to prevent undue traffic and other issues, like was done with the ASPAMDA folk at the trade fair complex.

Solutions are being put in place, come up with viable suggestions for us to discuss, simply saying everywhere should not be like Lekki is not enough Wink

@Sweet T,
You are one of Nigeria's main problem: stereotypypical Nigerians like you remain our problem. On what data do you base your claim that most Oluwole traders are IGBOS( not Ibos)? Why do you guys ascribe any problems to Igbos?

That is why 47 years after Independence Nigeria is still groping in the dark because Igbos has to be everyone's sacrificial lamb.
You better realise that Oluwole, just like other issues in Nigeria is a collective responsibility.
