in a relationship, what relationship?
dating? courting? marriage?
in marriage, methinks it\'s an essential core in the relationship, i can get good companionship from many other folks, i can get support and sacrifice, but sex- no! it belongs to one person who\'s in the matrimony.

It depends on the degree of the relationship.
In casual relationships this plays an important part and to some people might be rated as the most important.
However,in a VERY serious relationship leading to marriage its a very important spice to a relationship but certainly not the building block of it.
Think about it this way would you marry if sex was the number 1 thing about the relationship? If you do then you got it all wrong .
It will be a very unhappy marriage if all 2 of you do is have sex and never talk .
