I THINK TIS ABOUT TIME
TO MY RHYMES, MIME
PUTTING BEHIND ME, STORIES OF HUNGER POVERTY AND GRIME
AND AGES WHEN I HAD NO DIME
SIP MY JUICE AND LIME
WHEN AM THIRSTY AND FOR DRINK PINE
THERE'S ALWAYS AROUND A BOTTLE OF RED WINE
FROM THE THE FINEST OF GRAPEVINES

ACAN YOU SAID WITH RHYME
THERE'S NO CRIME
IF YOU WERE A GIRL, BELIEVE ME, JUST FOR THAT LINE
IF I COULD, I'LL MAKE U MINE.

SIMPLY MY RHYMES I GET IN LINE
TUNING THEM, THE FLOW AND RHYTHM FINE
BALANCING THEM OUT MATHEMATICALLY LIKE SINE AND COSINE
TIS EASY FOR ME , COS I'VE BEEN ON IT SINCE I WAS NINE.

JUST KIDDING,
JUST RHYMING

Time to again write,
But I can’t, because I can’t think right.

I’m blue and all sad
Three years relationship suddenly went bad

Thought they said absence makes the heart grow fonder
Why tis never the same for me leaves me to nothing but ponder

I loved her
She knew it; I treated her like my Ma.

Her excuse “CB, you love me too much”
Now doesn’t every girl pray for such?

A man who would do anything for you,
Wouldn’t play around with ya heart, still and even after vowing “I do”

This is a girl I woulda loved to marry
Pity she couldn’t for just 6 months tarry.

I called her everyday
I know tis not the same staying with her all the way

But I have my obligations
It’s something that calls for no negotiations

She knows it
I too know it, we agreed on it.

Made our promises to each other as I departed
It’s barely 3 months and from the promises she’s parted

It’s hard for her, I know that,
But hey, I wasn’t too having it easy my own part.

Whoever said “what men can do;
Women can even beta do”

Maybe I really loved her much
Maybe I shoulda played around with her, act all tough, and other girls watch.

I keep wondering, does it mean all these time she never loved me?
Tis not fair, why lead me on all these years, she shoulda let me be.

But she’s gone
Am I done?

Can I love again?
Can I bear another pain?

I can’t see answers
But I see flowers

They still look beautiful and they bloom,
I’ll be a groom

“The beautiful ones are not yet born”
I know, may be they’ll come when am all old, ragged and torn
While I wait, I guess ….ha ha ha I’ll watch me some porn.

Don’t mind me, just kidding, that was a sad laugh,
I’ll sit up, get up, go out and search me my better half

Why call it “Heart Break”, I feel as if every part of me is broken, but I’m a survivor
Am I not a man, descendant of King Solomon, the woman predator, full of favor?

I’ll hunt me down a lady
Who’ll treat me like a baby.

lend me your strength when my own is depleted
lend me your courage when my spirit is defeated
lend me your arms to lay when I need safety and rest

@cbase
you are really keeping this forum hot
like volcano you are erupting your rhymes, they are hot

i feel like a pilgrim in the same land i have been before
though am spiced with ingredients, like free styling in hardcore
as i said to rhyme is not a crime
but a way to curdle a vital message with no one paying a dime
waxing words so nutritious like grapes and lime
like bricks they come with force
taking every one on a just course
unlike refugees that want to take power back by force

i hope i have the paste to play along
still rhyming and keeping the forum strong
as i have obliged to write, maybe someday put it as a song
preaching to the society to ceased from crimes and doing wrong
embraced ourselves so we all can live as one and grow strong

Thnks AC for the Compliments, Na God
I want the thread Hot, that is why with rhymes I Tie us together like Cord Cheesy

@Cayon
Nice Rhymes dear, as fresh as just from the pot.
keep it up, dropping it like tis hot.

I always thought
What I taught,
Would get me that which I sought
But No, it isn’t so, as I sort
Through the things with me brought
Or rather from the market bought
Now I know I Ought
To have with force wrought
Whatever it was from the drought.

Oops! Sorry dear, that's not for dash
Relax, enjoy yourself, it’s a birthday bash
Just as there's difference between Catch & Cash
As there's in watch and wash.

Always bearing in Mind
To pay my dues back in cash or in kind
When its time, just like the wind
Be sure, I'll break some Hind. Cheesy

There was a time when care was given
To the dead and the living

Now it has been found missing
With evil and cruelty we went looking

hoping to find care that was hiding
because of people's chiding

yet no one knew the best way to search
or the best method to approach

The timid fragment of care
that was once there  Sad Sad

check my rhymes

In town
On gown
Like a clown
With a frown

Who seals the deal?
Of clouds roaring aloud
Like a need in deed
I pray I play

Shallow and hollow
Follow or sorrow
Fallow like a sparrow
I mush I must

Today I learnt to answer In Hausa
"Yes I would very much like to Kiss You Kiss "
Tis something I think I very well can do. Grin

Now don't think I'm all proud and very full of My Self
No, but somewhere I learnt to wear my Image Confidently like an expensive Perf.

That's Me, CBase

In Joke Section http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/board-15.0.html, They too said am a Case Cheesy
But they're all wrong, because I'm CB-->>ChristBase Grin

True you haven't seen me
I'm no ghost, Just Name the place and time & there you'll see me.

Trust me I'll be there in a Jiffy if only you would say the word "Come"

I hope I got that, these days I can't spell right,
I feel It, I know it, am Old alright Smiley
but ha ha Grin I'm young at heart and bright
when you get 2 my age, you forget about strength and might
and rely on your brain and experience to put you right all day and night. Wink

So Cay, CBase 2 you, is a name, no longer a Mystery
Now, the Introduction's Over, maybe we'll talk about dowry Grin Grin

, HIDE IN PEACE BANKHEAD,
        a a b c d e
Ha ha ha bank head
Funny art thou dude
Do you call these rhymes?:
        a a b c d e
What rhyme scheme is this?

I bet you do not want this
Battle for you just threw towels
On the battle field
While you expect your head
To fight the battle of blood

If you wish to battle bankhead
Do not call for princesa dude
For you will step on toes
That will bit you to the bones
Of your ugly sticky poetry of mess

I do not call you to plea
Or run around filled with glee
But all I say is that you flee
Far away where your head of prey
Will still be safe as a bank of mess

Bank head dont jump into the feild
For your head has no solid
Taste for rhymes
As those of the princesa's stalwarts
So go hide your head in peace

cbase did you know?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADIES
not that I cramed it
nor at all did I know it
but it seems I saw it
in the beautiful wit
so I slowly went
to check straight
their date
of birth right
in the profile tract

lo and behold
guess what I found
CAYON's buffday
is on the 13th day
NICE's own is today
while mine was on the 4th day
all in this witty
month of April to say
the list of my suprised head,

to know that these witty
girls were born in my
month makes me happy
so when next you see
a witty girl ask her if she
was born in April the
month filled with poetry
Of wit,

PRINCESA IS NO WEAK
Oh rhymers of bliss
Lest we forget 'Ces
Is in no way weak,perhaps
She is into one of those
Numerous exams she does
That keeps her so busy as
Though her life depends
On it though it depends
But am sure, very sure poets
That when again she is
Through with these exams
If there are any exams
At all she will be back with us
But till then we miss
You and remember as
They say that Silence
Atimes is louder than words,

And as she said with no jerk
She will be back
To bring in the spark
And make her mark
In this beautiful rhyming park

We await you 'Ces

 OOH MY EYES
It seems what
Appeared at
The profile tract
To be buffday date
(s) was just the date
(s) the ladies became part
Of the esteemed poet
(s) of Nairaland's wit
Eitherways poet
(s) enjoy the first
Year of being at
The poetry wit
And next
time at
The internet
I will put
My glasses with it
's geekness right
On before I write
A poem of wit

I had to proclaim that this forum
pervades like a plant with adequate potassium
we all have created and sparked up this auditorium
with words from our heart till thy kingdom come
as am back to pay my dues to the forum
with my lyrical savour decorum
rhythmically i am addicted with words like a sailor addicted to his bottle of rum
i excavate words like a rapper doing hardcore
unlike bankhead (m),  am sticky, i don't need to form
my words are unadulterated, unmixed, but pure

If i were you bankhead (m), i will pick up from the grass
not calling on your mom any time you want to wipe your ass
try to be polite to everyone especially the ladies
in rhyme zone we educate ourselves, we all believe in doing this
it has been embedded in us like our culture
and appreciated by viewers now and in future
this is serious business, not an adventure
so i really hope you get the picture
and next time you want to say something, pls let it be nice
as a pal, this is just a piece of advice

 , IS SHE HUMAN,
Let the sun be dead
And the moon lay on bed
Let the stars twinkle not
For I see clearly this night

Not with the aid of torch lit
Or any man-made light
But the light I see through
Is one within her beauty flu

As she glowed so bright
Sparkling like rainbows
Drenched in silveric tint
Radiating my lonely heart

Behold the God of beaut
You have created on this planet
A perfect being with eyes
So gorgeous and milkily wet

If at the end I marry you
What food will I give you?
What clothes will you wear?
And what shelter will you bear?

The food tilled from sand?
The clothes that fades?
Or the shelter that crumbles?
Tell me my sweet maiden of beaut

You are too priceless to be owned
Too valuable to be seen
Too pretty to be touched
And too angelic to be human

Now I wonder
In the solitude of time
Groping here and there
Are you human?
