I have a HP 6515 pocket PC and an installed Tom Tom GPS program on the PPC , i want to get a map of lagos installed on the ppc , anyone have more info about how i can go about this ?? and how much it would cost .
I also need a GPS device with installed maps of lagos with the pricing ,

It sulks that u have a GPS in Nigeria because unfortunately there is no good satelite image of nigeria, Trust me your GPS is not goin to tell you street names or anything like that,

I got the digital map as a package with Radio link planning systems.
And the digital street maps with the Arcview system.
These are professional job-specific integrated packages and they cost over $5,000
You can contact omonoba for the single package and he has what you want

GARMIN now has Nigerian Streetmaps and high resolution satellite imagery you can use in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja and PH for now). This can work on your i-phones and car navigational GPS. The project started since 2005 in Nigeria. My former company worked on this project. If you need a unit, or the attached Nigerian streemaps please contact me. It's not free please.

i have been hearing a lot bullsh.t regarding satnav( street level maps and stuff) in nigeria, some people says it exit, but up till now i have seen nothing, roland you said it is not free ok , how much does it cost and where can i get it, please no bullshit please. |

The problem with many Nigerians is that they have little grasp of hi-tech.
People here want to sell GPS maps of Nigeria to understandably sceptical Nigerians. The best solution is to simply record a youtube clip of the GPS system in action navigating round lagos/Abuja/PH.
Scans are too easily faked with photoshop

Nigeria Streetmaps, Topo and Rec v2 includes comprehensive street level data for Lagos and Abuja (PH is ongoing)and a routable regional road network for Nigeria. Forest areas and 100m contours have also been incorporated. Data for this previously unmapped country allows you to plan routes and navigate to destinations within Nigeria easily and accurately, both on a national level and within the Lagos and Abuja city extents.
It is a CD of 156MB files(but I have a download link for the whole filles on the CD). I can send anybody interested the donload link, all you have to do is to register with the serial number of your GPS unit online at Garmin's website.The screen shot attached shows the content of the CD. For the price, send me an email and I will give you a discount price.
