My school always closed at 4:00pm and I had to walk home so I always arrived just when it was over and used to have my elder siblings who were going to another school recount the day's episode for me. I think I caught only 1 or 2 shows but I always knew the story. Spent some time drawing the lions with some classmates while at boarding house in secondary school (FGC Ido-Ani). I do remember one plot line where the lions were split and placed near their enemy elements (i.e the blue lion with fire, the red lion with water e.t.c). And all those funny "Robeasts", they always went down to the blazin sword.

[TEARDROPS!] Meeennnn, u guys jus' rush in da good ol' days, can't help but join in on this. Just finishin' my secondary level then, uhmm! those sweet words initiating the transformation process, "Activate interlocks. Dyno-therms connected. Infracells up, Mega-thrusters on, Go . . . And then u are thrilled to the marrow [my fav. part] to see each of the lions coming out from underwater, undertree, underrock, and some other bases. I saw VOLTRON recently, last month or so, from one of those channels - NTA, i think, and i was glued. Those days, my brother and I were always fighting for space. God help anybody to disturb us. NEPA, it was serious prayer for their cooperation. Then another great fav. was FRAGGLE ROCK and TERRA HAWKS. Boy! I loved these arresters. They made my days. Like others have expressed earlier, today's generation, i feel sorry for them - having to put up with, damn!, Teletubbies! [rubbish]. Cant agree more with the guy that said today's kids would become dummies with such stupid progs. Thankfully, another nice favorite - TOM AND JERRY [DVD] - makes a great companion for me and my daughter. My fav. xters on FRAGGLE ROCK: RED, MOKEY, GLOBO [and his ever traveling Uncle]. Then, TERRA HAWKS. I remember one of round [ball] fighters no. 55 who always expressed himself in some french accent [and getting into trouble with it]. Love those sci-fi presentations. Can someone please give me a current link to them? Then Good old Sesame Street. A prog. i watched for over 20 years, damn! how time flew, those were TV progs. back in the days.

i really must commend SEYI for bringing back fun memories.
it's just like yesterday, i still remember the whole VOLTRON cartoon. just the other day, my roomate and I were having the same discussionas to what happened to good ol faithfuls (cartoons like Voltron, fraggle rock teraa hawks, G-force, muppet babies, muppet show, sesame street etc), those cartoons were highly sort after back in the day,kids would rather miss their meals than miss them. i was a crazy fan and still remains till date. i really hope it can be brought to either cartoon network or KTV or boomerang whichever.
thanks again SEYi for bringing back smiles to my face, it least i have gotten some images of VOLTROn now for the keeps, wish i can get a link to where i can download a video of one of its' episodes.
thaks y'all

@tundewoods
Just read your posts. Of course I remember the other Voltron. I called it the "Voltron of vehicles" as opposed to the other one composed of "Lions"
It's amazing no one ever believed me either. And you're right! It debuted in '83 - I guess April or something. I was in grade school then in Plainfield, NJ. For meeting someone who's actually SEEN the alternate Voltron force, I extended a warm and hearty handshake to you.
Cheers man!
PS: I've even got some episodes of Voltron (Lions) on hard disc

Voltron's da bomb! But transformers still do rock! I've always been partial towards them. Even now, my transformers collection doubles my Voltron collection - and beyond. Lest I digress too much, keep loving Voltron - either of the flavors available to you ,

@ All,
To me, Voltron was da bomb and should have been a member of the Transformers.
looking at the way Voltron is formed, it would be a transformer.

@Gamine Rental ghosts? Back in the day I kept pinching my nose ter see whether I'll disappear! Them spooks! It's just that they don't make tv shows like they use to you know, Those were the days where children had inspirations & exploited them with good intentions: artists, engineers, explorers, developers, teachers, I betcha y'all been inspired one way or the other!

Hunter 777, I remember that prince. Always used to wonder how he and his family would fit on that tiny planet once he grew up, married and had children!!! I absolutely loved Thundersub, thought the guys were cute too. I wasn't that keen on Voltron but watched it because my younger bros would do nothing else at that time but watch.
I also remember that NEPA struck on one of those Voltron days and my dad who used to go and 'visit' the NEPA office close to my house every Wednesday evening (so they would ensure that there was electricity for him to watch 11pm wrestling on NTA!) was commandeered to go and nicely 'ask his friends' to restore electricity! ;Dlol
