should i call this a rejuvinated thread or what Smiley

We should leave the bankers do what they want, afterall they keep your money and give it 2 u when u want it.  .  . Abi? Infact their routine is so choked up most of them don't even have time for themselves or family. When my mum was a banker, she used 2 leave the house by 6-6.30 am only 2 return by 9 in the evening (some days 10pm)

Somehow i pity the ones going thru this line of stress that's why I can't think of beefing a banker cos I know its not easy

@post

The truth is that Nigerian banks have received money and some of them are spending the money foolishly. Others are looking for businesses that will keep them in good standing.

i must say however some of the banks will go under soon because alot of them are like spoilt kids they are not looking for any business. They behave like a SUSU Scheme. The true banks will go and take risk and make mistake loose money and will gather experience in investment matter.

Some banks are just friends to ministers, fraudsters and churches. THE REAL SECTOR IS NOT EXISTING SO THAT IS WHY YOU CANT SEE A BANK HAVING 10 billion dollar LIQUIDITY.  BANKS KEEP TALKING OF ASSETS.

my dear do not get decieved, most of them are not well paid, there are those that recieve not up to 50k especially those on the counter, as for those in marketing they have their basic and some alowances, the remaining part is tied down to meeting your target, and for those up there, they are sure being well paid, but all the same who no like show body, i believe telecomms and the oil industry pay better, well bankers do as you like, pardon them its the money they work for, let them spend it as they like.

I am a banker and i can tell you for fact that banker really deserve the way they spend thier money cos the stress and threats they undergo is too much,, most of those u see living large are the big boys in the bank, say from 3rd level and above in most banks,,, but a lot ofpeople working in banks are not well paid, lots of contract staff and the likes, but anyway make we enjoy our money small,  and for those u see wiv flashy cars, most of them are on car loans,

WE MUST NOT TRY TO BE WHOM WE ARE NOT, SO FORGET THE EUROPEANS AND AMERICAN BANKERS.

My Pple in the house, Let me bring this to your understanding! Either you're a banker or Not, What we should always have engrave on our heart is There are two dreams in life (1) either You're helping someone to fullfill his/her dream. (2) Or You're fullfilling your own dream! If you're working in UBA. You're helping tony to fullfill his dream, Zenith! Na jim you dey help. Why not fullfill your own dream! Stp helping someone, help yourself.

Enough of Driving good cars and wearing Good clothes, Put all your tot together and think of what to do. and How to make it in life! Forget about how much you're been paid.
You can get more than that if you're work for yourself. to b continueeeee!!!!!

just want to say there is a difference between being flashy/stupid and enjoying urself. I cant say that bankers should not enjoy themselves. I think the poster shouldnt have dwelt on bankers. Some Nigerians in general are flashy/stupid. It wont be good if you're not that afluent and are pretending with people that are not your peers(money wise). This poster really made sense and i think some people should cover their head in shame. If you are enjoying the fruits of your labor, now thats different. But dont be flashy/stupid.

It shouldn't`t matter how people dress or if they want to be loud, that should be an individual`s choice. What I don`t like with the banks is the high interest rate they charge which making life difficult for business borrowers. If interst is too high, companies wont borrow, limiting growth and those that do will have difficulties paying back. This sometimes can  lead to it`s collapse. High interest can only be met by people in the trading industries as profit is quick, Manufacturers can`, profit for them is not so quick to be able to pay such high interest. Nigeria and quick money. No surprise the manufacturing sector is dying.

"you reap whatever it is you sow". the flashy cars, elegant wears and all that you see is as a result of their hard work. back in the days, banks despite not been as much as today; i'm sure never made as much profit as it is today. i have an advice for u, MEN: stop hating!! & apply for a job at the bank nearest to you. these days u dont have to study banking or related courses to work in a bank so long you attended higher institution even if na yoruba literature u do,   Undecided

@poster,

Some of your points may be right but most of it are misplaced.

Banks has influenced the economy and the country generally in a positive way. Tell me what would have been the fate of increasing number of graduates in this country without the mass employment  being done by banks. Banks employ fresh graduates everyday. I can tell u that with 100% assurance. Consequently, poor families have been turned to relatively confortable ones.

Mind you, as far as this country is concerned, bankers are one of the best paid workers. Oil sector could have been better but for the fact that you can be in a post for good 5 years without promotion while a banker could grow to SBO or AM within the same period.

I dont think bankers should be blamed for trying their best to enjoy life. They work sooooo hard, leave and enter their house back at odd hours, work like baboon and always thinking of how to meet their target (either marketing or no). Some of their children cant even discribe how their parent(s) look.

P-l-e-a-s-e let the bankers be!

@ Backslider

well articulated! my brother, u took the words out of my heart.

who is talking about contributions of the banking sector to national developemnt here hm? what we are saying is that these so called bankers are in the top list of corruption and abuse of wealth apart from the political leadres. If they earn gud pay, are they the first? Why must they harrasss their fellow citizens with their luxury. Above all, the men have become irresponsible maniacs who do nothing but drink and womanise, then the women have become coroperate whores who glo with pride and intimidate women of other proffessions.

Jealousy is the least i feel for these bankers but pity. They say they are enjoying the fruit of their labour but fail to see that they are held captive as slaves. Much work and less pay. Those dat get paid well dont enjoy the money, tell me, wot use is it then. And who say flamboyant living is enjoyment! think again.

my opinion.

bankers are so arrogant, and carry their pridefull shoulder's as if they own the world.
but the amusing aspect is that their future in the banks at times don't have a guarantee, the bank can always kick their sorry butts out through the back door.

a banker can only respect you when you bring in some cash and off course when you are extravagantly dressed!
if u dress anyhow to the bank be ready to receive an anyhow treatment. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
I think bankers should learn not to live above their means all the name of being a banker!

And to crown it all, i just observed that most male bankers are damn too stingy even to themselves and the ladies nko? apology Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy they feel they are on top the world, at the end of the day, they get no husbands lmao Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy the reason is because of their arrogance, pride and i too know syndrome.

i work in a bank is not a guarantee to look down on the customers cause widout them no job, no food, no money, no flashy cars, no three piece suit for you Cool

and when you complain to the customer care nko? the rude reception alone is enough to make u think twice, and if eventually they listen you, before they take any action that will be till thy kingdom come.

if you are a female and you are a marketer, pls dont sell your body because you want to achieve target, Aids no dey show for face, its your manager with his big black arse that will recieve the glory from the board of directors, they bank will just use, load you up with money but dip within you me and you know that you are empty.

so my advise to the bankers: respect your selves and your customers and importantly invest your cash! Grin Grin Grin Grin

*why do male bankers have big butts* Huh Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
that becus them don chop money tire Cheesy

Hello sis. Jealousy,

It seems to me that you're frustrated with what you're doing probably because its not bringing in enough cash like the bankers'. How has any banker harrassed you in the time past. Post it and let's hear of it.

You're suppose to "rejoice with those that rejoice" so, why are you jealous of these good people? Everybody has the right to spend his/her money whichever way he/she deems fit. SO, WHAT'S your STRESS?

If you need a job in any of the banks, just contact me and I'll make sure you "experience peace".
