Story Of Her Life.
« on: December 25, 2007, 05:18 AM »

I have a female friend that dated this guy for 10yrs before they finally got married two years ago(court wedding in usa). Now they are planing a traditional and church marriage in 2008 in nigeria. They both stayed together in the us while the girl is one month pregnant. The bottom line is that guy beats the girl everytime,he cheats on her and now the guy said that the girl should remove the pregnancy. My friend is so confused and worried that she doesn't know what to do.She use to love the guy but,due to the maltreatment and beatings, the love faded away. Please,we need advice as to what to do about this whole thing.Merry xmas to you all and God bless.

What to DO?Huh?

Tell your friend  to read up on domestic violence, then seek help from a woman's refuge.

If it for the sake of being so called 'married' which is expected of a Nigerian woman  at a certain age  i think she does need to re assess her marital responsibility and leave.

The bottom line is it is up to her to get help .   Her  partner to seek the same and to address personal issues he has causing him to be weak in vital areas of his life , but finds strength when he dominates and beats a woman.

Domestic violence can ultimately lead to Death or murder but it generally called manslaughter, however the person who has been battered is dead and the family is left to mourn.

Encourage her to read this and point her in the right direction.

God bless
