Nokia N82 The New Nseries Mobile
« on: December 27, 2007, 09:03 PM »

This phone is just too ugly. The style, design n ergonomics are damn too poor,no wonder its so cheap.Nokia n their market strategies.Theres no much diff between its camera n that of N95 afterall it doesnt support optical zoom. N82 is another windows vista, a big mistake.

Even microsoft admitted that i can't rmbr d link i'll post here when i do and a lot of users are downgrading or maybe "upgrading" to xp just to use peripherals or due to user interface issues, besides d sales reports have been poor compared to even windows 98. The earlier date announced by microsoft for the expiration of xp was jan 30 2008 but this date has now been officially pushed to 2010 to allow time for them(microsoft) to fix vista bugs giving windows xp a lifespan of 9 years(unusual 4 most microsoft OS). As for d n82 issue i would choose n95 anyday and i still prefer my n70.

Ok but i use it.
Major problem i encountered was that RAM[you must have a minimum of 512 to enjoy it].
I don't like N95[all flip phone in general because of flex problem] that is reason i like N82[yet to buy].for Nseries see my choice 70,73,82.

Till they fix d third party application compatibility i'll stick to xp. N95 is not really a flip phone its more of a dual slide kind of stuff. No hard feelings but i still prefer my n70 to that multimedia toy called N82. N73 is not bad. Anyway i'm not thinking of upgrading yet.

@Infobaba Its a sonyericsson k850 rival not P1 and the reason why the phone is less expensive, is because they had to level it with exactly the same price of k850,so in other words nokia made this phone mainly to rival k850.You go fear competition my guy. Nokia VS Sony ericsson

It speaks for itself, n82 is no match for n95 not to talk of n95 8GB, forget the carl zeis optics it still does not have optical zoom feature and just a reminder that N95 also supports SDHC cards besides the 32GB SDHC stuff is a theoretical announcement and has not been implemented by any OEM, who knows maybethat will take another 2 to 3 years before they are available in stores not to talk of when they will be shipped down here.Nokia only made this phone to prove their mettle in the camera arena so please let no one compare it to N95 or P1i.

The phone is a better choice to N95 for me, u can keep posting your view my reasons are as follows?

                     1:I hate slide phones ( Generally )
                     2:N95 is too popular
                     3:Too espensive. .haba.
                     4:Too bulky
5:GPS chip doesn’t work with third party applications
                        more coming soon

Actually, i know N95 will b a more better phone compare the price difference but . . . moreover i perfer the N82 keypad to N95's own

Sect, k850i or whatever is a java phone.
So don't compare them at all.
N82 is like a king to sonyericsson k850i.
Maybe i'll change my mind and buy that N82 nxt year.

And besides its the 5.0 mega pixel camera that's the subject of comparison, not java or symbian whatever

The camera was compared thosen't mean they are the same category, K750i was compared to 6230i, N73 was compare to k800! they compare camera not the general functions. I use both 6230i and k750i, k750i is far better than 6230i, my close observations. If they are to compare operating system, k850i got no mouth beside my dream N82

Besides the camera there are lots of features that N82 shares with k850 and thats why its tagged as a direct rival for k850,that a phone isn't symbian doesnt mean its can't be compared with a symbian phone, thats just what i'm trying to point out Tope.@Infobaba In my own opinion and from what i read on mobile-review.com i think N82 is slightly better than K850 except for battery life though, but i'm not surprised because 82 was released before 850 so its supposed to be that way.

@ tope_teadr
I wonder o  the name is enogh self how can u compare Nokia with a Sony Ericsson N82 uses 128 MB SDRAM Memory which can be upgraded, 100 MB internal memory, it uses a ARM 11 332 MHz processor and a 256 MB NAND Memory ( so no out of memory error) and the phone will never restart itself even for a week

check this out, a 2 GB memory card is inclulded, more over k850i is missing functions like UPnP technology, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS function,  TV out, N82 can play this formats MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA player while k850i can only play MP3/AAC/MPEG4 only and the big one, N82 is runnig on  a Symbian OS 9.2, S60 rel. 3.1 k850i got no operating system at all .lol. y should we b compareing Nokia with a Sony Ericsson.

What a waste of time
