EXACTLY!! it's annoying!! VERY! that's one of d reson i hate watching Nigerian movies! I Just tend to stick with their comedies. Just speak normally! but dey wont! Not like they even know how to use d accent properly!! Once I was watchin a Nigerian Movie, with Stephanie Okereke (i can't remember which) one actor was trying to say: " That is risky man, it's risky!" but bcuz he was trying 2 use accent, he said: " That is whisky man, it's whisky!" I just turned off d movie n went 2 sleep. They should stop faking! it's stupid! |

Then d duo Osita and Chinedu, with d syndrome that turned them to pint size(they at some point gave some kids in Nigeria idea that truancy was the in thing) am glad that fad has passed but it was a real pain while it lasted.

Like someone said,95% of naija celebs are fake,but the topic is about the fakest and we are not criticizing them. Until they stop faking American accent and be themselves,they'll remain fake. How can someone travel to the states and after 5years,he comes back faking American accent. The real celebs are the ones who act like Nigerians in movies and speak like Nigerians( I won't include dressing here 'because we are all guilty of copying oyinbo dress,not just the celebs ) So who are the real celebs then? Aki and pawpaw ? They are all real celebrities,judging from the definition of the word celebrity,at least they are all famous.But most of them are copy cats. |
