Perhaps a little bit more color might help (consider changing the grey borders to something else). Nice icons, by the way. Where did you get them? (I want some too!)
A clear statement of what kind of people you want on your community should also help. People need to know if they will fit into your community!

It's a tech website so people into all manners of tech I guess The icons are just general ones i've found from around the net in my travels  Mostly corporate logos, etc.

There is no secret Seun, Just thought straight and used google image search. Microsoft posts it's own logo's on it's site for promotion stuff as well so it might be worth looking around

Duude, Cut down on the images yo. I am on broadband, but I gotta confess, when I saw all those squares on the screen denoting images, I immediately left. I can only imagine how long it would have taken if I had a 56K modem. Cut down on images and let me know, and perhaps I will go visit again. I promise to give you constructive criticism  , and that's my 2 cents
