Do you use your mobile phone service provider's per minute tariff plan or the per second tariff plan? The per second plan favors short calls while the per minute plan favors long calls.
They have their relative advantages and disadvantages, but which one do you find most useful? Do you make a lot of calls that are less than 50 seconds long? Or between 60 and 100 seconds long? Or between 120 and 150 seconds long (based on Glo charges)?
Which one do you use, and why? Don't forget to vote in the poll.

per second is safer for me because i might decide to make short calls or long calls, i can't say i make more of short calls or i make more of long calls. i just make calls.
Question: is the 60 seconds on per second equivalent to the one minute of per minute, in terms of price?

In both cases, either long calls or short calls! Per second is way better!

I use the per second billing because one can't be sure how long the call would take. So it's safer to be on the lower plan.
@Dual Core: per minute costs less

I love per minute 'cause I talk a lot on the phone. Unfortunately, there are those times I make short calls or when the network is pretty bad and several calls end in the 1st ten secs and I still get billed per min: I feel really bad that I use per min.
Personally, I will vote per min but me knows Per sec will win the vote anytime anyday!

Per seconds may be better for personal use but when it comes to commercial use, some people prefer that per minute. For example Glo business line charges:
25k/secs to glo lines (on the per seconds billing plan) - which amounts to N15/min while it charges N12/min flat (on the per min billing plan) to same glo lines
To other networks it charges 37k/secs - which amounts to N22.20/min as against N18/min flat (on the per minute billing plan) to other networks
Can't say bout oda networks but I bliv its almost the same. Anyways dou, in the long run, Per secs billing is better when u consider dropped calls, background noise, not hearing the other person, fluctuating network signals etc where u av to cut the line and redail again. PSB it is for me!

seun sorry to say this. people flash me here to call them back but i noticed they do same when i am back home. what really pisses me off is people not find anything wrong in picking my phone to call their friends. apart from the cost this gives out my number to everyone they call. i am on the 6th sim card it is no longer funny.
do they cut you off when you go over the 1minute call when you register for the per second tarrif? that will help me a lot

seem to me a big ripoff you pay more if you talk less i sn't that what it is?Here, its one flat per minute rate billed by the second. that is. $6/min or 10c/sec so if you talk for 1min 1sec, you pay $6.10, no more.

Per second does it for me, because I only like to make short calls on my phone, while I make the expected lengthy ones at the call centre. No be my fault now, na Naija we dey.
