Football Pundits, Bookmakers and football supporters all over the world always tip a team to win major Tournaments.
In your own estimation, which team goes to a major tournament with high hope but come out being a flop.
Here is my list:
1) Nigeria's You-21 World cup team to Chile with Players like Etim "maradona" Esin, Nosa Osadolor, Adeolu Adekola etc, they were 14th out of 16 teams that went to that competition.
2) France World cup team to Korea/Japan 2002, with the likes of Thiery Henry, Viera, Zidane et la
3) Nigeria's 1998 World cup team. [ Note they are favourite after the Atlanta Success two-year earlier]. They were booted out in the second round.
4) Colombia's team to that world cup with the likes of Faustina Aspirilla, Late Escober etc.
Do you have any other team in mind. Let hear your views

i can't remember which world cup edition, but i think the brazillian team , with the great socrates was a huge flop.
The spanish team at france 98, booted out first round.
but i think the french team at korea/japan takes the cake.
henry highest goal scorer in england, trezeguet highest goal scorer in italy, djibril cisse highest goal scorer in france
and all three of them couldn't score a single goal. amazing!!!

Although it wasn't years back until Jose rolled out a full arsenal of weapons last season.
It became competitive since then so blame Mourinho it.
Sorry about your loss to Blackburn.

Is Carling cup not competitive?
Although it wasn't years back until Jose rolled out a full arsenal of weapons last season.

I watched the match.
Blackburn was simply magical.
The only sore point was that Chelsea should have had a penalty when Mokoena tugged at Crespo's shirt.
Maybe the Ref saw it. Blackburn is chasing Europe and Chelsea has already won the league. The points don't get Chelsea anywhere further.
Do the math. The ref used simple diplomacy and besides it was a home match for Blackburn.
Blackburn played extremely well and made Chelsea work hard.
