I Got 400,000naira Job Per Month In Shell

          HURRAY!!!! nairalanders, I  just got an oil job,Shell to be precise.What really makes me happy  is that i hold an OND in elect. engr. and my duty in office is to supervise engineers with BSC and B.Eng.Imagine this i am paid 400,000naira per month for a start.Oh my God this must be a dream,but its real,inshort i am so happy.Please celebrate with me, you too go get your own.

 Actually the guy might be saying the truth but the field allowee is included. some of shell ond holder collect as much as 450k per month for their field workers . shell don't take HND. they deal with OND and graduate. Ond are technicians and degree, their engr. was with them before i change to another oil producing after my B engr

I have to concur with the pessimists that this guy's story seems like pipe dreams.

Firstly, who says i got a 400,000 a month job? What is the title of the job? Most people refer to a job by its title not by its salary.

Secondly, its very rare to hear that you had a {  } per month job. It is usually given at the per annum rate and is not that easy to refer to in monthly terms.

Thirdly, it is highly unlikely that an OND holder will be made to supervise engineers, no matter his level of experience.

lastly, was he the only one employed? Large companies like shell rarely recruit one at a time so I assume there must have been some people who took the interview with him.

But then again, you never know,

Though I've got no right to call him a liar, I grossly doubt the authenticity of the post.

I don't give a damn if they are paying him a million bucks but SPDC is too organised to let an OND holder supervise his academic superiors.

Even if he is making a confession of faith, he should be realistic and stop being too far out.

I don't think d poor guy is lying. I know an OND holder that earns a little bit above 400k in this same shell we are talking about. But he knows his job well. When I mean well, I say well.

A lot of people are just ignorant.Getting a job in shell and mobil especially is not all about BSc

well this jist get as e be sha,the last i heard about shell ond employment was the 15 batch 12 guys they employed and r being trained abroad.The idea of supervising engrs. is really surprising.I wonder what field that is in or which office.For the 400,000 naira.I wonder if it includes his field allowance or his basic and if he's SNG or SNEPCO or SPDC.Well guy just fill us in.You never can tell he may be dining with the godfathers.

There is nothing to doubt about that because if he will work in a location that does not have camp, i am quite sure of his 280K accomadation allowance for 2 weeks in. Adding his monthly salary and tea plus other mini allowances will land him at 400K. Also if he has experience,good connection or Papa favour, he can be appointed to supervise his superiors in Academic but the salaries may differ. I have once found myself in his shoes as a direct hire in the company he claims to have gotten employment.
Goodluck guy . My advise to you is be humble and lie low, no arguments or i too know.
