By and large,a rap is a poem.I was actually stuck with the definition of poetry within the bounds of literature and i felt rap didn't fit in.Poetry is basically a rhythmic expression of human imagination n experience.So a rap fits into d definition.Besides d word rap is believed to be formed from rhythm n poetry.MY BAD!!!
