Am a first timer on tis particular page and am i so glad to come across tis. I am 32yr and i v bin married for almost 2 yrs now. I v never bin pregnate, my perod use to b regular until abt oct last year wen it started by changing dates. I didnt c my period in nov and saw it early jan. i have sen a doc and have even done HSG and the Homonal count test. My Hsg reveled dat my womb is ok,but my homonal count is not good at all. My hubby also had a test which shows dat he's ok. i weigh 80kg and am 5.8 tall. am on drugs since i complaind to my doc but i still havnt seen my period. My doc scared my by saying am close to menupose? Can u advice me pls. and i v done preg test which is neg.

pls can you look at my hormono test result and Hsg Test. you didnt analysis it for me if it is ok. this was the mail i sent earlier

i did my HSG test on fridY. it was really painfull.this was the result given to me

the uterus is outlined and it is wit um normal limit
Bolu fallopian tubes are outlined, normal peritoneal spillage is seen bilaterally.
conclusion- normal study.

the 2nd  hormone test values

lutenizing hormone(HLH) 12miu/ml  Ref.Values 4-20
follicle stimulating hormone(hfsh) 9 miu/ml  Ref.Values 4-20
prolactin 36 miu/ml  Ref.Values 6-24 females
progesterone 19 miu/ml  Ref.Values 5-36

i was told that the prolactin is to high and i was given prolodel(Bromocriptin.ut mesilic) to be taken for 30days. then stimulation of the breast was equally advised to be stooped.i have started taken it but it is really given me some discomfort . I hope this will not affect me from getting pregnant on time.

My husband did  sperm count test twice immediately after our wedding and the last one this year i think last month . according to him the first test they said he had infection and was given antibiotics. he said the only thing he could understand from the test is Abnormal sperm 80% while normal sperm 20%. the second test done reads ad normal sperm 60% while adnormal 40% but he still has infections. Will try and get comprehensive result from the hospital tomorrow but can you say anything with the above result. ecoil infection i taught this is not suppost to be in the sperm?what drugs can he take because i feel the infection is causing the ad normal sperm to be high i.e it is destroying the sperm.

dear kathy,how i wish u r in nigeria.u need to see wat these doctors r doing to us here all in the name of money.i got married in jan 09 and we decided to start having kids right away,my husband stays abroad and so we see once in a year.he left end of jan and i didnt take in,cos i knew the chances of that happening r slim,i wasnt bothered.but immediately my husband left i decided to go to a doctor to make sure i dont have any problems cos my husband has one kid from a prevoius marriage.i went for HVS and was told i have staph aureus but i didnt even listen to them.the main thing i want to tell u is that i went to one high profile hosp and there i met the MD.he refered me to scan and he was the one that did the scan and he told me that the abortion i did in 2004 was not well done and so i have fluid collecting behind my womb infact he told me my womb is infected and that i should bring 100K-mind u he said the 100k is for starters that i might have to bring some more money.cos i need very heavy antibiotics intraveinously for 3d and then surgery to evacuate my womb.i cried like i have never cried b4,but tank God for friends i was adviced to seek for a 2nd & 3rd opinion.i went to another hospital and the doctor scaned me and told me my womb is perfect,that he is only seeing a cyst that he will give me antibiotics and it will go(mind u i didnt tell him anything)
i went to a scan center again and the result was the same only cyst seen,no fibriod.
and to think that that first doctor is an elderly man,even older than my father.i have lost faith in our nigerian doctors pls i hope to still go for hormonal assay and hsg to be certain.i dont know when am ovulating or even IF i ovulate.i will really like to take in when next my husband is around which might be anytime.what advice will u give me thanks.

Thank God for you. Please doctor i have a problem, My MC is 28 days and it is regular. My problem is  that 4 days after my menses i normally have heavy blood discharge for 1 day or 2 with dark colour  and bad odour. I went for a text and i was told that i do not have infection but i don't believe them. This has lasted for at least  3 years now.
Am married and i wish to be pregnant soon But i don't know if this will cause any harm to me. Please doctor i need your help.
Tell me what could be the cause and what i will do to stop it.

I'm not sure what your doctor was talking about since I don't have your numbers. Is it possible for you to get the results and post them for review?  Were the tests taken at a particular day of your period?

I would suggest getting a water based gel like KY jelly.  Do NOT use vaseline or oil based lubricants

please i have about three questions. i am a female, 24 years of age. please my questions are:

1. a few years ago, i noticed a small sore in the inner sides of my labia, i.e. when you open the lips out and look in, around the tip, maybe just above the clitoris. at this time, i had a bad habit of wearing damp underwear. i eventually stopped that, but the sore never went away. it only hurt a tiny little bit at the time. over the years, the same place has evolved into an even bigger sore. to make matters worse, i also have fissures or what seem like tears (looks like a knife or something sharp was used to create slits there) on my labia minora. in these fissures, there is usually a white substance, sort of like a wet powdery thing. i have been to doctors and gynaecologists, but they can't seem to figure out what's wrong. lately, about 2 years ago, i started having pains around my pelvis, thighs, legs,  and the pain doesn't seem to go away. i don't have arthritis, as i have been tested for that. sometimes i feel like i am having a throbbing pain, shooting through my labia with every pulse. it's like it shoots from my labia and then spreads to the pelvic region/thigh. i'm very confused. i have been tested for infections like chlamydia, but result was negative. was tested for other bacterial/yeast infections (don't know which ones right now, to be exact sorry), but the results were negative. i have also gone for ultrasounds, which have revealed nothing abnormal.
please what do you think all this might mean? please bear in mind that i have never been sexually active. my periods are very regular. they occur between 28 to 30 days apart, last about 4 to 5 days, and are neither heavy nor light per se, just normal.


2. my second question is that i sometimes have lumps (kind of like small boils) around my labia majora. sometimes i have them on my inner thighs. they come maybe once in two or three months and i would have one or sometimes two at a time. usually, these lumps/boils have a mixture of blood and pus in them and are very sore to touch. please what is the cause of this and what do you think i can do to remedy it?


3. my third question is that i noticed from when i was very little that everytime i urinate and put my underwear back on, that there is a very foul smell coming from there. this caused me a lot of discomfort growing up. over time, i came to realise that i can make use of panty liners, which i use now. this has significantly helped to control the smell, however, it still means that every time i don't have a liner available, i still have that really horrible smell. even though i try to wipe myself as dry as the desert, i still am not completely dry. i notice that it is not my urine that has the foul smell, but somehow the combination of the urine residue, which is not absorbed by the toilet paper and my skin is what seems to produce the odour.  i have never heard of anyone complain of something of this nature before, so what do you think this might be?

Dr , please find it in your busy schedule to tell me what to do .I have been married for about a  year now and my wife has not conceived for once.

Please look into this questions just some few seconds after intercourse ,my sperm just drips down out of her private part and i think this is the problem ,that is that the sperm does not stay long within her to be able to fertilize the ovum,but your professional advice will be required .She says that her womb needs resetting , that her friends said that there are hospitals where such things are taking care of .She is afraid of going to the hospital even to take medicine is a big problem,what do i do .

I ave been on this thread before with different issues but there is a different challenge now and i will really appreciate your response.

I am 32 years, weigh 79kg, 5ft 5 tall, working class, I got married 3 months ago, I have a 26-day cycle (sometimes less, sometimes more, I will give a 7 months chart ). I have a medical history of myectomy (2 years back).

Kathy, I normally track my ovulation period with the clear, slimmy mucus which dissapeared some 4months back, the whole place seems dry through the month save when my hubby dips his finger during foreplay, it doesnt flow out like before.

Last menstrual period came a day prior and had a regular flow for 3 days but dripping till the 6th day. This present period came on the 26th day with a brownish spotting and came fully(heavy) after 24 hours. The temperature method of tracking ovulation is another thing i do (though not with a thermometer) and this has been constant.

I also have this abnominal pain on the lower left side (been on for more than 5 yrs now). This occurs at different times of the month, sometimes during the presumed ovulation date and runs through till the menstruation starts. Atimes its quite painful, sometimes its just slight and unoticeable.

Then, PMS changes to boils now, Dr. I wish to be pregnant soon. What medical advice do you have for me? Running through this thread, I bought Clomid over the counter from a registered pharmacist (he told me the necessary prescriptions), I have not used it. What do you think?

Am 39years,           never bn pregnant,               bn TTC for 10 years.
Left country due to this, back home was told unexplained infertility

Here bn told its Endometriosis; heard term 1st time here.    Done surgery NHS 6 months ago fibroid, endo, etc
Doc here has recommended IVF, currently on waiting list, not sure when, still waiting, am thinking of going private

      What are my chances with IVF,
      Is there a possibility of getting it at 1st try, considering my age
      What are my chances of multiple birth, is it risky for me , considering my age  or am i still ok
      Do you or your professional colleagues by chance know/heard of the following in the UK

'IVF - Get Live Baby or your full money(%) back in UK'  (or something similar)

I know some places in the US offer this but 'cant afford all the expense/total cost now(IVF,travel and accomodation), thanks in anticipation .  Looking forward to hearing from you
