Do not waste your money. It is not worth visiting, and yes people watch TV on their computers so as to avoid the TV Tax. In the US every Tom, privates, and stephen has a big screen, or plasma, or something that does not make your eyes go bad while watching. The place is messed up. I still want to know what exactly an average Nigerian in the US will relocate to the UK for. Nigerians use London as a spring board to the US, where they eventually would love to end up.
@Emmie4j
Nice one bro on your comments about the army. Ain't this a great country? You can feel the passion Nigerian Americans use to defend their base, the UK based Nigerians are more timid about their love for their base. It is almost like they are not sure if they really like it. The best thing i did was leave that country. I remember the tight living space.By the way we are winning the poll by nearly a 2 to 1 margin. I think that people are not being honest in their voting, we should be more like 80% US and 20% UK.

Yeah and to add to that, a complete computer set can be gotten for 400 dollars. Very well within the reach of most, including students that don't recieve 1 kobo from there parents.
Yeah, back to the topic. I think Il take The US and Canada, and even other european countries ahead of the UK. But il take any of the two ahead of Nigeria, that one is 4 sure.

Having read every single post, including my own again, I think this dead horse has been beaten to a 2nd death The choice, as 7up says, and from the various threads, is clear - the US is best. Nice thread though. I can't remember a thread (other than "walmart in nigeria") that generated such responses. In the end, it's all a battle of ideas. I personally think that the mere fact that many countries have moved from communism to socialism to pseudo-capitalism (capitalism having been championed by the US), says a lot about the US. I mean, look at China. Is the US perfect? Nope. Which country is? As long as humans live in a place, that place is bound to be corrupt. It is the lesser of two evils that will prevail always. Once again, for those on both sides of the aisle that gave answers based on reason, as opposed to crappy rants, I troway salute o! I hereby am pulling my notification from this thread

Who told you i have not been there? I mean UK. I may be wrong by that 95% but i know plenty of people who are able-bodied are claiming peanuts as job seekers allowance. Go to virtually all Libraries in UK, hundreds queue up to have acess to computers. Similarly people queue up to access internet which is as cheap as £10 a month. Sky Digital cost an average of £31 a month, how many homes is hooked up to Sky, cable or Home Choice. @ LoverBwouy You know what am saying.

It's obvious that you have only been to the most deprived areas in London. Where I live i don't see anybody queuing for internet access. Just represent your endz, that is what this thread is about.

from my own perspective, it is cheaper to live in the US than in the UK, the UK's cost of living is high and they don't jus give their visa to jus anyone because it is too crowded. even if they give you visa it's takes time before you get a job. UK is too crowded, everyone should come to the US where there is lots of space and job opportunity for the young age. anybody can buy computers, acrs, here in the US. no license needed. personally i loved the US, and i would like to visit the UK one day
