Favourite Baby Names And Their Meanings
« on: April 14, 2006, 08:58 AM »

I'm having anothe baby later this year and after realising what a good cross section of people we have on this forum I want to find out:

What are your favourite names for:

BOY
GIRL

And if they have one what is the meaning?

I'm English and married to a Nigerian. We named our first daughter Ololade. I'm not worried about sticking to English or Yoruba names so you never know if you come up with something good maybe I'll use it!!

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep them coming, I don't know what sex the baby is yet, keeping it a surprise.

One trouble I have is that it needs to be a name non-yoruba's won't have too much trouble pronouncing,

For a boy I like laolu and salewa quite a lot,
