Hitv Or Hi Rubbish?

@ Whimiscal, The file is not shown on the page, no HiTV stuff, i even tried to open it on EXPLORER

OGA, That not no open any HITV link at all, i used EXPLORER TOO, wetin i go do now?

i downloaded three files from the site but haven't install it yet.
this are the name of files i downloaded there
newest software.rs232 (2mb)
HITV_MC720EU_S2.0.7_B200_080901.rs232 (1.7mb)
and a zip file that contain both files above.
the problem is that i don't which one to install first. well i could upload it some else if it is permitted

The software helps translate Zee Cenema for those that luv Indian movies. Auto scan and also the EPG module.

Installation Procedures:

go to www.whimsicalcom.net and click on support. you will three links. (I advice you use the zipped one)

After downloading the software to a usb from
Disconnect the dish from the decoder (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT).
Go to MENU, INSTALLATION, PUT IN YOUR PASSWORD(If you haven't changed it the default is 0000). The go to Transfer the USB UPGRADE. At this prompt select any on the two then press the blue botton on your remote control.

S/W VERSION,  1.18P (SEP 11 2007)
H/W version : 1.10
boot version: 1.10 (0b.24)


do i still need to upgrade ?? im not on HiTV branded decorder mine is called STRONG

Apparently from the website, the upgrade is strictly meant for Hitv Branded decoders ONLY, so don't attempt using it on you strong decoder.

EPG means Electronic Program Guide. It use by providers of service to show on screen their program/activity line up. However the Hitv is not effective so it's sort of useless for the time been.

so does that mean that HiTV  BRANDED device is better off to my own STRONG DECORDER?
