I felt bad when === sent me this email:

honestly, the nairland site is becoming complex and navigating to different parts of the site is more difficult and people spend more time on the site trying to access some parts...so..

please the normal site is as fine instead of adding the complexities...besides the new chat feature is not it at all...

and many people are becomin disgusted goin to the site because of irrelevant things

normally a forum should be simple and not lucid....

well, some people seem to prefer the old recent posts home page with the uniform color and all that.. Maybe you should just reformatt the homepage or something.  don't know..

Well I prefer the new format because it eliminates the need for a new topic holding area.  It gives users the freedom to post topics at will and also gives me the freedom to feature high quality threads on the home page.  The forum in its current form can sustain a higher level of daily traffic with no problems.  If I am not able to come online for a week, the forum will still keep running, though of course the home page won't be updated.

Hot-angel, you do know.  It used to show "recent topics" on the home page before I installed that chatterbox thingie which was rapidly replaced with the 'Editor's Picks' Box.

Hello,

I'm thinking of replacing the post count with something I call "post frequency".  Post frequency represents the number of days in which you've been active since you started using the site.

E.g. if you've been a member for 3 months and have posted on the forum 20 days during that period your post frequency will be 20.

What do you think?

« #87 on: August 20, 2005, 04:41 AM »

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Angry Angry

What i will love to see you do is, Give each post count a name. Like ranging from 0-50, you are a grasshopper, 51-200, you are a someting and so on.

Don't alter the post count. Whatever u do, the numbers must still be there.
