Everyone knows, even if they are truthful or not about it, that girls with light skin are more attractive than girls with dark skin. Light skin is prettier, while girls with dark skin tend to be ugly. The thing is, you can't even see their features because their skin is too dark. For example, compare Alek Wek (hideous!) to someone like say Tyra Banks. You will notice the difference right away.

I have seen a lot of ugly light skinned girls.
Almost all my friends are dark skinned and they are gorgeous.

What utter B.s, (shake my head) in total disblief at the lack of pride in race and uneducated babbling. some dark skinned people are not good looking, some are beautiful, some light skinned people are not good looking, some are beautiful. Some white people are ugly some are stunning, some Asians are good looking(light or dark), There are so many variables, need i go on? Me i am mixed race and some would say i am good looking, some would say i am not.(one man's meat?) Your basing of beauty on purely the tone of a person's skin is quite lame and the example you give are quite laughable if i may say. Alek is seen as a unique beauty, very interesting features, tyra is attractive stunning figure.Even this comparison is weak because models arent beauty queens or better. When you say better! what are we to gather from this? more acceptable? or better lookers? |

Girl, i don´t know if u are light skin but let me tell you something I am , and is not as great as u think.  1. My skin tends to be sensitive as in if i cut myself the mark will stay there. 2. Nigerian people can tell i am nigerian 3. If u don´t get enough sun, your skin looks white. 4. When u want to buy foundation, it kind of difficult to fin the perfect color. Some girls think that being light is more attractive, but if u gave me a choice I rather be darker. |

FYI Black does not crack. No I am not darkskinned, I am what we call in the islands 'sugar'.
Look our grandmother was Irish, our Grandpa a native Carib, half of my siblings are light, very light while the other half is like me. Guess which ones are least physically challenged? You guessed right.
What or who makes black skinned people ugly? BTW what is your definition of ugly?
Ugliness is a conditiion of the heart, soul and mind. The outward appearance is just a charrade that easily fades. It's not how we look outside that defines us, it's the things that come out of our mouths, the way we treat our fellowmen, the condition of our hearts, our love for those less fortunate than us that stands out as the meassuring stick for prettiness.
Beauty is within sweetheart. So from one beautiful sugar colour skinned sister to a light skinned sister, quit the stupidity and embrace life, get a hobby, volunteer at a local hospital, school etc, use your talent to help in any small way you can instead of spreading hate.
PS. Just noticed the poster lives in NY like me. You should be so ashamed being that racism in very much alive and kicking in the USA, someone who lives and breathes this everyday should think twice before coming on the web to display their obvious ignorance. Man this is just ridiculous.

Thank you very much. You've said it all. If we as blacks can sit down there and judge people's beauty by their skin color, what justifies us when we condemn some whites attitude towards blacks.
