@londoner look read my posts again. Just as some fools were saying light skin is better I pointed out why others might think dark skin was better hence the phase the darker the berry the sweeter the juice! You can clearly see that I don't believe in colour casting.

@michelin89, And if, as you girls (omo and wes) has labelled me, I was a dark skinned hater
can you point out where I specifically called you a "dark skinned hater"? or point out where i even implied in anyway that you hated dark skin. since you found so much sense in adressing me and omo together as if we shared the same opinions. "omo and wes" makes a sweet sound in your ears i guess. still don't know what you want the girl's pics for. lol

Two words for all you light skinned lovers out there. NAOMI CAMPBELL. One hot , sexy and beautiful Dark Skin SUPERMODEL. This sis is dark and stunning. AND has the attitude to carry it all off. Light or dark. WE are all beautiful. It is just those that are insecure with who they are that find what is beautiful as UGLY. Get a life I am sure you bleach your skin. You poor thing you. Enjoy you and all your beautiful. Dark or light. Pathetic. That is the problem with people today. Lets just keep it real. I am a Naturally light skinned bi racial with the so called good hair to match. All my daughters are even lighter than me with that so called good hair that is more fine than mine. I don't carry the crazy stupid view that I am any better or worse more beautiful or ugly than a darker sis JUST because she is dark. Just plan ole sad,

Lady T, it was not clear that you were not yourself saying "the darker the berry sweeter the juice", as your own personal opinion, so if that is not what you were saying, then I humbly apologise.
There are people like Zara who go about saying light is better, and others like Eko who go around saying dark is better, their own choice, even if it exposes a rather simplistic and insecure attitude at worst and at best a harmless preference, but if one is to be a sign of madness or backwardness, so should the other.
Zara and Omo Eko, from what I've read here, are two sides of the same coin.
@ AAliyah06, no need to have a word with "ALL the light skinned lovers out there", people have a right to prefer whatever they want to prefer, dark or light. Its actually their choice. What should be frowned upon is disrespecting people in the process.
If I like fruit, noone should tell me I should be liking apples rather than oranges, its up to me.
Naomi Campbell is a very beautiful women on the outside, she isn't as beautiful on the inside.

It's one thing to say your perference is light-skinned females for whatever dumb reason and it';s another to say that darker girls are "repulsive and ugly". Last I checked it was Alex Wek on the runway not Zara.
Keep making the oyibos proud, you morons.

I do hope you are not refering to me as a moron theifofhearts? Yes thats what I'm saying, the problem is the offense to others in the way we express our preferences, not the preference itself. To be honest, there are some people who are offended because some people prefer light skin, maybe not people here, but some people are insulted just based on the preference alone, just like you said "for whatever dumb reason", its doesn't have to be a dumb reason behind it, anymore than having a dark skinned preference doesn't have to have dumb reason behind it. Your right Alek wek is on the runway, and many people find her beautiful, and just as many don't find her beautiful, I don't know what Zara looks like, so I couldn't possibly comment.

I tend to agree with that statement theifofhearts, but people find themselves attracted to certain types, just like many women would never date a guy who is 4 ft tall just because he is shorter than them, so they find it unattractive. One reason, height, dumb? Maybe,

Thief of hearts, its about having a specific physical feature, which will turn you off a person, many people do it.
Some people will not give a guy the time of day if he is not over a certain height, the same way some people will not give a person of a specific shade the time of day, one physical feature in both examples, that turn people off.
Thats the comparison, they are not different, just that one is acceptible generally and the other is not.
We women will try and justify our prejudices when WE hold them, but will contest everyone else about theirs. You probably can't see the similiarity because you may agree with it.
What really is the difference if someone doesn't find Light skin women/men Dark skin women/men Short guys/women Tall women/men Fat men/women, attractive? Forget the emotions of it, what is the actual difference when you really think about it?

Londoner you are twisting it. The topic states the light skin girls are better than dark skin girls. Yes people have preference but if it is based on the silly notion that this group that you prefer is better (better humans) than the group you don't prefer then it is wrong.

I'm not twisting anything, I've already made my piont about the whole light skin/dark skin thing, Sometimes when you have pages of discussion, people deviate, not everyone has tunnel vision, thats what discussion does, meander, there would be no piont just making the same point over and over.
There is more than one way of looking at something. I know people who don't care about skin tone, but instead they care about weight or height, and it deteremines attractiveness FOR THEM.
Now to me, saying you find light skin unattractive (and so will not date that one) and saying you find size 16's unattractive (and so you will not date one) is not really much different, when you take the PC out of it. Its ALL a physical feature, not reflective at all of the person inside, its about percieved unattractiveness. The original poster, was obviously refering to aethsthetics specifically.
Its not twisting, its an opinion.

I get sick of the fact that people believe that the light skinned girl is not beautiful,is fake etc. I am proud to say am light skinned. My father and mother are light skinned, I am in my mid twenties and have never and will never use a bleaching cream .As a matter of fact I am using Vaseline Intensive mosturising cream at the moment and any time I step out people ask me the cream I use because THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH MY SKIN. Africans are born light skinned or dark skinned and raw beauty can be seen in any of these complexions, People say that the light skinned girl is attractive , THAT IS A BIG COMPLEMENT FOR THE LIGHT SKINNED MAMA'S OUT THERE.I love to be decribed as an attractive , sexy woman than pretty , though pretty also happens to be one of the numerous complement i get from been light skinned. So all the light skinned haters , I guess it is nothing but mere intimidation you guys are suffering.

I don't take issue with what a personal preference. I take issue with people downing someone for the colour of their skin. I agree it is their choice but to say one is better than the next is wrong. Please REread what I wrote.
And yes Naomi Campbell has a jacked up attitude. But as I read it we where not discussing ones attitude, It was skin colour that we are addressing. Right?
