i doubt if that'd make much difference.  i would suggest coming over and staying here for a while, at least 3 years. trust me, it'd do u more good than harm. u can study and work at the same as the other poster said. as a british citizen u can study on part time bases.  if your partner is the understanding type, u can bring him over here and settle down.
