dear fellow Nairland I really need your advice to this problem please.
A firend of mine a young boy said he is always afriad when he sees a mad man, at times his mind will be telling him you will go mad, crazy, he said this thought that do come to his mind some time is uncontrolable to him, some times when the thought comes to him he will be tired of every thing around him. At times his mind will be telling him kill your self which he as being trying to resist by God's grace, he said this thing has beeing disturbing him he doesn't know what to do, he is just tired and feel like to die, and some times his mind will be telling him oh boy you will die just kill yourself, and things like that, how can he be helped out of this problem please.
He further asked me whether this is depression or a spiritual attack that i should please help him out,

Clearly spiritual, when the voice comes to him he should rebuke it as d voice of the devil, it will be nice for him to seek counselling in the church as well |

My advice is that he should get closer to God if he's not yet born again let him get born again and confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal saviour,Because he can only rebuke the devil ''in his case the demon'' when he knows his right in Christ Jesus.

in as much as it looks like a spiritual problem but still i think it would still be wise to go to the hospital and see first.all the same,get closer to your God,pray and ask for forgiveness of your sins. what type of family are you coming from?ask questions dear.sometimes the sins of our forefathers might later disturb us. goodluck |

many children have suffered from those kind of case so u first of all u gotta tell him the problem is not strange. that does a lot of good for him.
then u gotta see a really good therapist, they might be expensive in naija but it might just be worth it. lastly he's got to see a pastor or sumn.

Well, first of all, i think your friend needs to seek spiritual help, and incase u're mistaken, church-going is not the same as being born-again. your friend also needs to see a psychiatrist. that will help a lot

Hi,
POSTER, it's good you have such concerns for your friend. I believe you should consider both the spiritual and the physical. It is not impossible that it might be a spiritual attack after all, we hear stories of it everyday but it may also be a psychological problem. When he says his mind tells him to , , does he actually mean that or is he hearing voices?
Those are two VERY different things.
Hallucination is a false perception and it can happen in either of the 5 senses:
- Visual: It might be that he sees only this one mad man that no one else can see or it may be that the mad man may really exist
-Auditory: Does he hear a voice talking directly to him, or those he hear 2 voices talking about him?
This is just for you to appreciate his problem. Hallucinations by themselves are usually signs of schizophrenia.
The fact that there is a thought of "his dying" MAY suggest nihilistic delusions.
Auditory hallucinations plus nihilistic delusions (I'M NOT SAYING THAT HE IS SUFFERING FROM THOSE THINGS, BUT IT MAY BE) is serious, please see a psychiatrist as soon as possible.
After that, you can talk to your pastor for prayers!!!

Hi dear friends thanks alot for all your contirbutions and suggestions may God richly bless u all, but still confused.
According to the boy his is not suffering from HALLUCINATIONS there is no any visual, auditory, what happend is that his mind always tells him You will go mad, and any times he set his eyes on a mad person or somebody who dressed dirty and unreasonable like a mad man he will start fearing within him., he does not hear any voice, or visualise a mad person, the problem is that he is always afriad of his mind telling him of going crazy, and fear of seening mad people. I always know that this thing have caused hm depressed always, don't know what to do and where to start from. I was suggesting we go through a deliverance church first before going to hospital or wht did u thinks. please advice
