Berti Vogts Not Sacked: NFA

NFA deny Vogts' dismissal
The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on Tuesday stunned a crowded press conference by denying that Super Eagles coach Berti Vogts has been sacked.

NFA board member Muhammad Ladan read out a short statement stating that although the NFA recognised “the dismal performance of the Super Eagles at the 26th Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana despite the full support of the government of Nigeria, the Executive Committee regrets the widespread rumours about the status of the coach and dissociates itself from the reports claiming that he has been dismissed”.
