Nigeria Delta Problem - Which Way Forward?
« on: February 09, 2008, 10:07 PM »

In view of the recent development in Nigeria Delta as regard the persistent cases of kidnapping, armed robbery etc all in the name of agitating for development and self actualization. The kidnapping cases have now gone beyond white experts and innocent oil workers, it has now spread to fellow sons and daughters (fathers, mothers  and children) of the perceived rich and mighty in the region. From the events, it can now be seen that it is no longer emancipation of the region by these criminals but enrichment of individual pockets. The ogonis have been asking for their right for more than a decade without any form of criminality and they are getting proper attentions. All right thinking people of delta origin should talk sense to their boys and girls in the creeks. The so call people they are fighting for is now suffering more than anticipated in view low business activities due to fear of unknown by the business communities. A classical example is Warri area, hopefully Port-Harcourt case would not be worse with the way things keep deteriorating. Fellow nairalanders what is your view.
