@ndubu,
  They are right! I mean the ones that said that ARIA means possession. Aria, OR Aya according to my late grandmother means personal possession. During the little time she stayed with us I constantly heard her use AYA M ie my belongings in stories she told us/me. Eg Eburu m ngwo aya m wee jee ahia. According to central Igbo it would be ARIA pronounced phonetically as - saw-saw- A-RIA. So by the aforegoing they are right though I've never seen anyone bearing that name. But you know names were invented by people, so why can't we invent more?

Noduchi- Stay in God or literally -stay for God. Full meaning Noduluchi or Nodunachi
Odichinma/ Oduchimma- It is pleasing to God. My granma bore Nwoduchinma- Child that is pleasing to God.
Otugo- The crowner or the one that crowns one/me.
Anyafulu-An old name that means 'let eyes behold' as in that it is a great thing that happened.
Mgaadi- I will thrive/live.
Zereuwa/Zeruwa-be careful with the world ie it's inhabitants-people! It is almost the same thing as Zeribe only that Zeribe points to the bearers clanspeople.

@Echelon!

Hei Ogomegbulam = let not my good deed kill me! ie Let not my good deed bring evil in return to me!

What about-
 Daalu-Thank you
 Chidaalu-Thank God
Raaluchukwu- leave it(whatever the problem is) to God.
 Daaluchukwu- Fall down for God ie capitulate to God, Give yourself to God.
Mezie-Repair.
 Sopuluchukwu-Respect God.
Delu- Keep calm I had a friend in Uni with this name, her grandma gave it to her.
           Something must have brought anguish or tears to the family at that time or the
           grandma was just saying to the viccissitudes or storms of life to 'be calm'.
 Jideobi-Hold your heart. But depending on how it is inflected/pronounced could still
           mean 'Hold fort the obi which is what represents the man of the house's
           power. Jideobu/Jideobi- hold the fort ie the man's lineage or 'powerbase'.
Onodugo-the eagles position ie the crown in the feather!
 Chiemelie- God has won
 Makuochi/Makuochukwu- embrace God.

@Alarainey,
 Piom-piom-piom as I reckon just means SNEAKY-SNEAKY-SNEAKY! Maybe you're a bit sneaky with girls. Or you are a bobby-razzler stringing many girls along or just going from one crook to another corner doing naughty things.

Beelu onwu, Adaku a ka e ji umu ato ugbu a
But for death, Adaku would have had three children by now

Would Keoma (a modification Nkeoma?) be translated as "That which is good"?

Also, how would the name meaning "May my name not be lost" be rendered in the Owere dialect?:

Ahamefuna   or
Ahamefula    or
Ahamefune   or
Ahamefule
