well when you picture a 'perfect' family what are the characteristics? Repeat that to your fiancee. How many children would you like to push out?  Where would you like to live, what things are you both going to do to enhance your communication within the marriage and your relations. How would you want to raise your children? Is Education important etc |

Just like most intangible things in life, marriage does not come with a manual. Even most who have used religion and culture as guides have also failed woefully in trying to get it right.  Look within your own family set up and find out the things that worked best and use them as your models. Worked for me!  Keep the positives and get rid of the negatives. When you get in there,--you will definitely find your own ways! Not a wrong or right matter. One size does not fit all. It is all about what works. Hope you find the combination to your lock. First things first do you even love this guy? If you don't don't waste his time or yours. Marriage is for life so if you feel you can stand each other for life marry him if not run like the wind. Marriage is like having a brother or s sister you may fight but you are still related and nothing will change that. Its not going to be fun 24/7 you will hate him some days and want to divorce him but as time goes on you will learn his habits and he will learn yours. Living together is the big killer. But don't be scared no marraige is perfect.

but think about this, why embarass yourself while embarassing him? it'll give him the feeling that you're dependent on him, it'll make him feel good and make him keep hurting you. a man that knows that a woman is independent of his uselessness will always respect the woman and wants to come back to her. . . then, that's when you can sweetly turn him down and humiliate him the same time. . . imagine how he'll feel them. hon, revenge is a dish best served cold

No way your calm I can't do that. There will be no polite talk. My mother did the same my father left in a very public manner. After he saw hell with the tramp he left with he came back begging privately which was too late by then. But her keeping quiet made me mad.

Ohh i see why you think men are bunch of " Bozos". Sorry for your experience. Marriage can be such a wonderful thing especially if the man is good and loves his wife. My parent has been married for 45 years and i can tell you being the last born that marriage is full of highs and lows, i just thank God the lows has been very very few. It made life a little better.
