You're probably right if your observation is based on the spiritual aspect, but if (like you mentioned) it involves physical and psychological disadvantages, then you are unprofessionally wrong, and obviously wrong by that. For the physical aspect, you are absolutely incorrect, but as for the psychological one, then it depends on the state of the mind of the masturbator. Like i often tell people, by religion, it's against my belief, but by profession, it's advisable to encourage masturbation.

You don't get involved in pregnancy
You don't need an incompatible partner
You don't blame anyone for not doing it the way you like it
You don't pay money for it

Masturbating is the same thing as having sex. the difference is that you dont actually insert the privates into the female orifice. your hands or any other itemsrepresents the penis or the female orifice. At the end, you are satisfied after climaxing.
For a christian, it is very bad and it affects your relationship with God when you are single. You would still have that feeling of guilt over you that you have actually sinned against Him. Besides that, it becomes a habit that is very hard to stop even when you later get married.

Hey guys,it's nice to have all of you share from your different point of views about this issue of masturbation. It will be unfair of me if I dont share with you from my personal experience. Masturbation in itself is medically good if it does not become addictive but masturbation is very wrong according to the christian faith. On both hands, excessive masturbation(EM) is destructive. I am a living victim of excessive masturbation and I came accross this topic during my search for a solution. I have been masturbating since 1997 when a friend introduced me to it in school when I was just 15 years of age, now it is a ravaging storm in my life up till this moment(pls, warn your kids about bad companies). I am addicted and it's hard to quit. I have done a lot of researches and tried a lot of medications that can help one quit, I have even tried clinging hard to my spiritual faith(christianity), but I see myself falling several times and rising only once in a while. I know very well that I am full of great potentials but this habit has ruined them all and I will only be able to release my full potential the day I quit this habit but I will be back in time but I hope it won't be too late by then. EM affects you physically and psychologically. Physical symptoms that I have are emanciation(skinny), occassional blured vision, body pain and stiffness. Psychological includes depression, lack of concentration, memory loss, worthlessness. Others include insomania, fatique, pounding heart, premature ejaculation. You can see I am very close to death. I would long have been gone but God blessed me with toughness of the mind and body. I have considered cutting my manhood but it's such a hard thing for me to do.
