Even when you are practicing abstinence, there will always be a time when the sexual urges will stifle your mind/brain and you end up in a violent struggle to suppress a natural urge (This happens all the time) I have no problem with anyone on the abstinence roller coaster but while you do that, please hold aloof from the great delusion that it furthers your spiritual accent; this thought is one of man's greatest enemy, it is a LIE. Sexual abstinence has nothing to do with chastity and purity. It's either you do it with someone you love/like (wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/ intimate friend) or you don't, since there's a lot more to sex than two people humping off their brains like drugged apes. If those who practice abstinence can be very honest, you'd shudder because the amount of mental torture they go through is overwhelming enough to drive a man against the wall but they make it worse by living in a deluded concept that they can stifle a natural urge without consequences.
The only time when sex becomes 'bad' (whether or not you are married) is when you allow it to pilot your life , when it is fueled by morbid images instead of affection or when you do stick-in-stick-out with whatever is dumb enough to open their legs.

I've been dating this guy for 2yr now and we were talking 'wedluck'. All of a sudden, he says its not working out and that he's not ready. Am really devastated because I love him sooo much and I've built my world around him.
I guess its obvious he's getting cold feets. Waht should I do? Stick around and hope he comes around, or kiss and say goodbye!!

Continue the good work and never be discouraged. Don’t mind those that heap unnecessary insult. A Thread is posted and some people are bashing at the Poster for no just cause. This is the problem I have on Nairaland. They can easily insult any person.
A whole PLC was today banned temporarily by Seun and I (PLC) have not been a trouble maker but some people always come against me. Obviously, it became unbearable and I decided to go against them. However, PLC will continue to observe the decorum he has been known for a long time.

This issue of Sex is the Most misunderstood aspect of life. I am in tune with almondjoy's views, just because some people have problems with sex does not mean everybody has to follow suit.
Sex is the most important thing to man and indeed all living thing outside food( by food i mean water and air also). While food ensures our individual survival, Sex ensures our specie survival, and that is why Sex is ingrained in the genes and not contolled by our head and sometimes not even by our heart(love). Once you enter puberty, your body starts producing sex hormones and injecting same into your blood stream. So you are forced to have sex with orgasm (and sometimes pegnancy as a reward).
Now i know what the Bible say, and i do not want to start a religious argument but i do not think sex was an issue in the bible until christianity entered europe, because a lot of God servants and prophets had multiple wives and it was not even an issue.
If people understand the power of Sex, they would encourage and support people to marry earlier instead of decieving themselves by asking a normal person over 30 to practice abstainance even if you promise him hell or damnation.
Most of those preachers/pastors condeming sex before marriage are the worst hypocrices you will ever find, there is as much illicit sex in churches as anywhere else.

though u might have a point by claiming that most people act like hypocrites. but note that, hypocrisy like failure is the product of unsuccessful attempts at doing the right thing. none the less there is the will and knowledge to understand whats right and whats not. hypocrisy might be unfortunate, but the righteousness of men is still like a filthy rag before God.
