How Do You See A Man Who Is Not Football Crazy?
« on: February 28, 2008, 04:00 PM »

Why is it only in Nigeria that you see a group of football fans critisizing a non-football fan especially if the person is a man Lips sealed, as if there are no other form of sports available to consume, once is not football is like nothing comes close.

i think we need to re-orientate our selves and promote other up-coming talents in:tennis, swimming,,wrestling etc.so as to move olympics in nigeria forward.

FOOTBALL IS A GAME OF LOVE AND UNITY ! Even when there is conflict, football brings and end to everything.
A man who is not a football fan is seen as a sisi !  Cheesy

You could never get me interested in football and I am NO SISI. My number one passion from childhood is professional boxing and lately UFC. I even did a bit of amature activity in my late teens but was quick to realize I wasnt going to make much money from it. Other combat sports like Judo, karate, taekwando not my thing.

Boxing can be intense. There is very little place for luck (sucker punch) and punishment for laxity is instantaneous and can be devastating. So much better than watching a couple of guys running up and down the field.

Honestly, this is one of the many lies we have been fed with in the past. Its just like saying that men who don't fight are sissy.Thank God we now know better. A man who doesn't fight is more of a man than the fellow, because he has a stronger control of his passions.
Back to the issue on ground,an aversion for football tells nothing of the person in question, afterall we have female footballers. Its a case of CHOICE not of a society-imposed belief.
Period!

It is not a must that a manunited must like football. I like football. . . no, infact I love football especially when it is played at the Emirates  Wink

Those who don't like the sport should tell us what they like and why.  I guess I don't like Pole Vault, I can't be watching a man running as if demented with a pole . . . and finally hoisting himself on the pole  Shocked

The fact remains that there is high criticism in the world of football, and talking about football bringing pple together is a myth, cos the same football that brings pple together also causes a lot of fracas and dis unity among opposing team fans we al know the fights and troubles and even death football has caused.
I simply am against that kind of spirit running in the football world.

If 1 = absolute aversion to soccer and 10 = chronic addiction to the game, I'm at a comfortable 4. I just get the scores and read or listen to the commentaries.

There are more exciting things to do in life. Smiley

This is what i tell most people , when your okay with sumffin dosent mean everyother soul is cool with it. I have never ever watched a whole match from beggining to the end. I'm not saying people in love with football are crazy or it's a bad ffin but hey! not everybody loves football , Ok? Let me just say u that brought this topic thought every Chap out there is in love with football because you are and most of your guys in your hood are also in love and crazy in love with it?, HELL NO. I aint feeling dat.
