I've gained some useful insight into the Naija Used Car Market by reading through the postings - keep the flag flying. I'm looking to buy a 2002/2003 Honda CRV or a 2002 Toyota Rav 4. I'm considering the options of shipping from the States or buying from Nigeria. In shipping from the US can someone please provide Landing Costs breakdown for ROR and Container Respectively. Furthermore, is the ROR safe for these particular vehicles as I heard there may be some theft of parts e.t.c on arrival at the Ports for ROR. It would also be useful to get equivalent pricing for these cars in Naija as I would consider buying direct there if there isn't much difference.

As usual, they go to auction, buy any car they can afford ship it over for sale(quick money).
Check the color of your transmission fluid.
You might be looking at trip reading, it not that easy to change digital odometer.

Damn, I have been out for a while, my business has kept me too busy to participate. I see a lot of you are aiding each other and doing a good job at it. I am glad to see people doing good and helping our peeps at home. I notice that Nigerians constantly buy "Lemons" with salvage and roll back history. What is up with the dealers in Nigeria? Everyone is pushing questionable vehicles. Local consumers need to ask more questions and make sure these vehicles they are buying are good.

I assume you speak of the Chrysler 300 (and not the 300M) with 2005 through 2008 model years.
Price ranges from $14,000 to $20,000 (depending on mileage, year, certified used, etc)
Shipping from NY/NJ to Lagos is $1400; RORO (typically what I pay for shipping cars to Lagos, Nigeria)
I have cleared similar cars for around $3000.
Unfortunately, I live in the US and things may be quite different in the UK.
