hello guys, kelvin here from london, england. the question is who the best nigeria player in europe is and not the best nigerian scorer. my choice right now is definitely UCHE, YAKUBU scores but he is not as good a player as uche. Cry

It is not

Dason do the maths

Uche
5 goals - 22 games

Yak
18 goals - 30 games

How can u say Uche has been better this season (I''m an Uche fan)

It is not about how many goals you score but how much you have helped your team.

Yak and Uche are on fire.

There is no best.  As far as I am concerned, none of them is real good let alone best.

i am not a big fan of yakubu but truth be told i think he's nigeria's best player on current form.and i think that is really sad for nigeria football, for a player that has extremely limited skill, cannot dribble and can hardly hold on to the ball to be our best player that is a terrible testimony to our football.well i guess he will still improve, afterall he is only 25!!what a joke he is even younger than odewingie!!!na wa o uncle yakubu you no dey fear God!

For me everybody is not playing a the top of their game although the YAK and uche are worthy candidates.
I may be a undecided about the best player but the award for the worst is done and dusted, and thats definately;

I agree with you. But did someone say Taiwo is the best is France? Thats obviously wrong. Taiwo is far from world class. You dont want to put him in front of C .Ronaldo.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni is the best at the moment and Mikel is useless despite he plays for a good club, he is always doom to get a red club.

The problem with us is that we misuse the word best. Its true that the selectors of african footballer of the year winners always consider only the people who wear number 9 shirts. When we say the best, we must also consider those talented players whose job is to stop the attackers and whose job is to support the number 9 shirts. My vote goes To MIKEL OBI. watch him play and you will see his contribution in supporting attackers and stopping opponent attackers at the same time.

C'mon the fact that mikel might get the occasional red or yellow doesn't qualify him as a bad player, there are a whole lot of great players in history that got quite a number of reds in their career, patirck viera, zidane, roy keane, eric cantona, wayne rooney just to name the few i could remeber at the time of my post.

So am guessing u will also say Zidane, viera, and roy keane are also useless players.
Judge him based on his game and not his temperament, Mikel is surrounded by some of the best central midfielders in the game and he still gets to play, Mikel is obviously a very talented player.

Yakubu has been the most consistent goal scorer in the premiership since Thierry Henry. Check his records right from Portsmouth and you will see.

Back to the Question,

The most Skillful Player, Definately Uche

The most prolific Goalscorer, Definately Yakubu

Overall Best, has to be Yakubu cos football depends on goals. Abi no be so?

Yak an yak and yak no doubt about that.
when he plays for everton he is another yak entiterly compare to when he plays for nigeria.
Nevertheless he is still the best nigerian player in europe.

Mikel is the best Nigerian player in Europe currently followed by the Yak. The truth is people are giving Yak more praise than Mikel because he plays more first team matches. But the competition for a spot in Chelsea's midfield is greater than the competition for a spot in Everton's strike force. Mikel has to compete with the best midfielders in the world (Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Makelele) and he still gets to play regularly. That's quite amazing in my humble opinion. Mikel has played more matches than makelele this season, so you can imagine the potential this kid has to offer. In Chelsea's victory against Arsenal on Sunday, Grant brought on Mikel in the dying minutes because he knew Mikel would help defend the lead. I'm just sad he ain't going to be around for our Olympic qualifier with South Africa tomorrow.

I think the best Nigerian player at the moment is YAKUBULL
He is on fire at the moment, Everton can not do without him right now.

But we can't write off Uche and Osaze,  Osaze scored brace in his club last week,
I like that guy a lot, he always work tirelessly, he is sharp and strong. The last Nations cup is the best Nigeria player.

Watch him out in years coming, I wish he play Olympic with siasia.

YAK IS THE RIGHT GUY

Grin [b] YAK IS SLUGGISH only waits to get fed with the ball,  How many times has he scored from outside the 18M box. I tink he flopped at the Nations.

Mikel and Osaze are and remain the bomb.

Go watch Russian League and see the best of OSAZE

cheers

I dont think anybody should doubt why Yakubu is Nigeria's best player in Europe at the moment. Nineteen goals no be wasa.
Uche is also trying. He is a big game player but I can't rate him ahead of Yak now.
To say Mikel, with all his benchwarming in Chelsea, is Nigeria's best at the moment is most ludicrous. Whoever says so doesn't watch football.

Honourable mention to Yobo, Taye Taiwo and Osaze.
