you buy stocks when they are low u sell when they are high factors that affect price moveent are broadly classified as technical or fundamental factors technical factors: news items, product demand/spply trend, political events, public policies, socio-enivronmental factors, r etc fundamental factors: (news of) dividend bonus declaraton, increase in share capital, annual or quarterly FS or projections based on such etc The investment analyst uses a mix of the two factors to give advice which the investor would use to make decisions.
