Actually, I have quite a few CDs on him. Not sure if I have one with that song though. I will check. You'll like him if you really like soukous(dance) music.  Awilo Logomba is another good one. One of his songs "Caroline" is really nice. The DVD is even nicer. I have a number of friends from Cameroon, so I got introduced to some of these artistes through them.

Koffi Olomide is one music icon, who is known for his musical background style, I mean he make use of people to sing his written sound by he add his unique voice to the background, when listening to his song even though you don't understand the lyrics it move you.
He is good not a seasonal musician like Awilo who rain and go. But Koffi has been there and he is still doing well

Thums up to Aboidekour and
Pencokes2002 (both of yahoo.com)

Its good to give credit where its due
like you did with Koffi-Olomide.

I share the same feeling with you
that he's truly a great singer and
an African icon.

Be sure I have followed this man since
his debut album and I have his history
at my finger tips. That is from where
he bugun to where he is now including
his ups n downs and even his assets.

One thing is for sure:Koffi's shoes are
too big for most musicians(African/white)
to fit in.Just tell me how many musicians
in the world today can see a talent
in an ordinary street/village boy/girl
and nurture it?

Koffi's been selfless. Most of the guys in
the group "Academia" all came from his
wings.Look at Cardinal,Titina,Geco,Montana
he lets them sing thus making them even
at times more popular than him.

If you wish to know more
about Koffi Olomide(real name Grand Mopao)
don't hesitate to send me mail on
franknguru@yahoo.com

Koffi is a good man and singer.
By far he has come of age in
terms of the quality of his music
and especially the videos.

Not manymusicians can be as creative
and shoot nice video clips as Koffi.
Its not a matter of getting hot chicks
or wheels all over your video(in any case
anybody can do that nowadays) but its
about strategy or simply put,how you
bring those items in your video.Short!

I dedicate the song "Chez Ntemba" from
the album "Danger de Mort"to all Koffis fans.
I have no time for his haters  Cool Grin

Re: Koffi Olomide

I guess you are right Emad
Fally Ipupa di Caprio is really
a big talent.He is creative,good looking
and has a million dollar silver voice.

If you have noticed, this is a guy
who can change voices to suit
what we call in Music "The Key"
of a song. All songs have different
keys.

Save for his dancing talent because
that sums it up.If you have been
observant lately,after "Effrakata"
Fally has not danced in other videos
much. This was because Koffi wanted him
to concentrate on singing and now its
paying off.

Tho' I havent listened/watched his debut
album,its a fore-gone conclusion Fally
is going to rock this world.I bet he is featuring
C.G. Butokondolo,Geco-Bourro and
Montana Kamenga because this four guys are Koffis
money making machines and are a good combination.

Thjanks n watch this space. Grin

He and Koffi had a Fued that took him out

Check out his website
