I don't really understand how people can love their parents so much, but it's all good!

Hmmm See you all making textbooks over your Daddies. Cheesy

Hot-Angel, Mother's love is the bestestestest. Actually I love my Daddy very much but I love my Mummy one million times more. Kiss Kiss Oh yeah my Dad jokes and laughs with us but sometimes you just can't tell, you might joke with him and he would turn it into anger.Embarrassed So he is unpredictable. But my Mum, ever so sweeeeeeeeet. There is nothing my Mum cannot take, there is nothing and there is nothing I can't say to her. She likes to tease me a lot and I tease her too. Haha! She can never raise her hand to beat me, all she says is "Are you drunk?" Cheesy Cheesy

She is gentle, patient, kind, caring, loving, sweet, understanding, always listens, always there. Hmmmm I cannot express this in words because it is too much.

I hope but I don't think I can be to my children the way she is to us, because I'm not as gentle and patient as her. If my child says I'm saying rubbish, I'm definitely going to spank the hell out of him/her. Cheesy

Oops, thought this was supposed to be about the Daddys/ies. Undecided

hot-angel, not everyone is that close to his/her Dad or Mum. Most times the Dad is closer to the daughters and the Mom to the sons -- it's called Elektra's and Oddyseus Complex respectively.

I love both of my parents. They've always allowed me to be independent because I'm the kind of person who does things best his own way. There are some things I can discuss with my Dad and others that are exclusively for my mom.

While I love them both, I prefer being on my own -- both of them understand that part of me and respect it. My mom's been very instrumental in getting me to love reading while my Dad got to me to love solving problems.

Both of them however, know not to intrude on my personal life -- they don't ask me about girlfriends or such stuff because they know I'll explode if they do.

There -- I've laid it out!

@ papermoon, I'm soo sorry for your dad's death. OMG, u must have felt horrible when he died! He's still there with you hun, he is.

@gbade --  Yes you're right about the compare thing, but daing?? I love my dad more than my mom (isn't it obvious?).

@kimba -- no it isn't. I've been meaning to start this topic, but something kept stoping me. I got fed-up when i saw another motherfreaking topic about mothers.

@ IAH -- I think the kind of relationship u have with your mom is the kind i have with my aunt.  Well here's a little story for you. I grew up with my aunt, she took care of me and whatnot. She was "mummy" -- "big mummy" that is.

She's the bestestest mom anyone in the world can ask for. I mean she wasnt my mom, but she is MUMMY. She actually will come before my real mama if I'm to choose. She's a queen, and if I'm to start a topic about her (that's a different thread),  My dear, i would be here till eternity. How could a woman who's not your biological mother can love you soo much? She'D sing for me, take of me and soo many other stuffs. We talk about everything (teenage stuffs), she had 5 kids of her own, whom she loved just as much as she loves me, youngest is now 20 -- older than me. so get a clue.

I mean, yeah i get that mothers could be sweet and errthang, having a mom could be awesome and ish,  BUT OMG,  Have u ever tried being soo close to your dad? Like,  not just normal "good-monring" "hey daddy stuffs". Getting extremely close, and having that sorta "sweet mother" love for him.

Yeah this kind of thing u have to start building since u were a kid, u can't just turn 21 and say u want to start having sweet father love. So i guess this goes out to all the fathers out there, be friendly to your kids and build that strong relationship with them.

i love my dad and i don't think theres any man in this whole wide world like him.

he was stern and all that when we were kids but as we grew older, he taught us the facts of life, for real.

love u dad where ever u may be now.

Its always 'I love my mummy' because the mummys are caring .
But me I love both my mum and my dad. I  can't do without the both, I so much love them, so I can't say I love my mum without adding "and my dad too"

Also this is mother's week, think of what to do for ur mama,

this is how it is, girls prefer confiding in there papa while guys prefer mama and to be honest, i tell my mum everything. even d one you think i wont say, i did. highest she said i should use condom. that is how close we are. she knows every secret i have. basically she has saved my life times without number so i trust her with my life and my secrets. wonder which woman will mean more to me dan my mama. my wife will have to draw a line when it comes to my mama cuzz i will divorce her if she makes my mama angry. she always calls me daddy. and i love it when she doz, she said I'm her next husband after my dad and whatever i do, i should never let her down. i would kill for her and die for her. i will rather die dan see her suffer. she has suffered for me and very soon she will be spending every first week of every month in hawaii. i love u mama. Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

Your dad is the most important one to you bcause he probably was the dominant one to take care of you than your mom. So he'll be awesome to you, but that only happens 90% in our lives.

So most people will say the words "I love my mommy" than "I love my daddy". Mostly its the women that take care of the children, most fathers usually deny their kids or just stay away, that happens most of the time compared to women, living their kids.
