Happy International Workers' Day!
« on: May 01, 2006, 02:17 PM »

Hello Nigerians,

Happy workers day!  How are you spending it?  Are you just at home chilling and listen to Adams Oshiomole's (NLC) speech?  Is this day really important, or is it just another excuse to stay away from work?

No workers day here ojere. Y'all enjoying, when some people doing 2 jobs today. lol

Actually, most people don't know it's May day today. I got a 10 point extra credit in my government class today, because my govt teacher said we should all write down what day today is in most part of the world. To my greatest surprise, when the teacher collected out papers, and asked for the answer, i was the only one who said May day/workers day. I tot everyone would say it with me.  Undecided

Anyways,  most of the replies were "hispanic protesting day",  hahaha,  wtf?  Cheesy

happy workers day to y'all celebrating it.

Here's an account of May day from the point of view of free market lovers:

As far as they are concerned, the 'labour demonstrators' of that time were basically glorified thugs.
