@ mevisbleek u be funny guy oo, vietnam? OOU MBA better that option, anyway I'd advise you to go to their office and make enquiries. I had a similar case last year. I didn't hear from them for almost 2 months after my medicals, I worry dem no be small, make sure you go to the embassy and try as much as possible to fill the enquiry form every time you get there(quoting your file number or tally number). you can do that at least twice a week. majority of the visa applications are finalized from mid-august into sept so there's hope. perseverance na d key!!! wish you well

Are you joking, have you been to Cuba yourself?  What is wrong with these Nigerians?  Cuba is way worse than Nigeria and probably costs three times more, all in the desperation to leave Nigeria.  Cuba is in the caribbean and is not a tourist attraction like the other Caribbean islands.

Who told you that Cuba is very close to Canada?  Please study the world map again before making any outragious comments.

well, according to my map it's only 4.5 inches away  Grin

Good day my fellow Nigeria. Am into traveling business. I  live in Canada and if anyone would like to come over , contact me @ ( visionpeacec@yahoo.com) preferably Nurses( 4yrs B.SC not school of nursing) and doctors .I will get you a job and all other information. Please it is not a do or die affair. So only the interested ones .The minimum is diploma and one year  working experience. I have  other ways to bring people such as live in caregiver, student, Medical line or health care field, business owner, engineers, technical job but must have a diploma  from a well establish institution. Coming through tourist and student is never a guarantee process. But there are better ways to bring you in without problem and  which you can track on line yourself. Anyway  only people that are serious, further discussion  in my e-mail ( visionpeacec@yahoo.com) . Am a  very busy person but I'll try my best to reply back as soon as i can. Please  no stupid question and if you know you don't have the capacity please don't mail me. If you can't make it, your generation can. So  plan for your  generation to have a better  basic and fundamental welfare.

@global paul,u need to convince them that u will come back to nigeria, u can do this by telling them you have a partner here or a kid or whatsoever, telling them aout NYSC may not be that convincing, look for a very strong tie

oh boy i tire 4 CDHC, the bonafide student issue is just their own way of denying visas, of course they know that only about 1% folks will return to nigeria. Guys take it easy n pray hard!!! I prayed so hard at my own time and things worked for me despite all the challenges and setbacks.

If there is a way you can get a good letter of employment and the company can stand by you and show them that, you will be back with the company at the end of your studies, even though, me and u know u aint coming back to Nija, but we wont tell them

If they are holding your passport for 4 months, u could call them to write them or even go to their office to inquire what is happening.

@ FIDELO n all others who followed my story.I got a call frm my agency last night saying i could come pick my visa on monday!
I hv to say they really messed up.Obviously the embassy had been ready to issue the visa same time as fidelo's but because the school we applied to suddenly gave out the spaces of all the students frm the agency(cos dey didnt receive immediate payments),there was no school 4  me to go to. We re-applied to seneca college n after waitin ovr a month for them to send the admission letter,i started harrassin the school with phone calls and e-mail n dey finaly admitted to hav misplaced my application and that of two other guys frm my agency! Apparently, they r not very efficient with their amission thingy n probably because ours came very late but my agency said they've had cases like that wer seneca says dey cant find the applications and they end up getting  admission letters the nxt day in the mail.
I didnt want to wait to c if dat wil happen in my case so Jst this last thursday,we reapplied again to yet another school dt said they had a space for me, i had given up all hope of making it this september cos in d schools i wanted, applications for the popular courses wer closed.
God really came through for me cos i had bin hangin in d balance.there wer times wen i regretted applyin in d first place n giving up d uk admission i had.All the while,i was praying ,it was about the visa.who would hv thought it'll be the schools giving me stress.Last wek, the owner of my agency went to the embassy last week n explained what had been going on and showed the correspondence b/w their office in canada n the schools.they agreed n issued out the visa without me paying my fees or showing a fresh admission letter.they said we culd sort it out either b4 i leave (nxt wk) or wen we get there since every other thin was ok

So, for all you still hoping or having hiccups on the way, what is meant to be definitly will be by the grace of God. Kiss

If you don't have money in anywhere in the world, you are messed up big time.
In Canada, if you have no money, you will still eat and if you are in Canada legally, the govt will still take care of you, u might not have enuf to have left over oh, but you will pay your rent, eat and move around to look for a job, but that is if you want oh.
Unlike Nigeria, when you have no money, u are on your own and even your family will run from u.
