I gets This error on IE 6 "" I need ResXX/Mcshield.dll error " when ever i launched it. after uninstalling Mcafee ativirus.
I tried system restore but it wouldnt come up bc it need the above file name. I also tried chkdsk /r still no head-way.
Guys any way around this ?

go to registry, control F, type mcafee and delete all and any entries relating to mcafee.

next go to your msconfig startup and disable all macafee entries.

last, pop in your winxp sp2 cd, boot from the cd and choose REPAIR.

this shoudl solve your problem.
