We are a financial services advisory firm with an international focus and are looking for bright and vibrant individuals for the following positions:
1. Risk Management / Strategic PlanningThe ideal candidate will possess:
o Minimum 2nd Class Upper (Accounting or Quantitative Social Science), MBA and/or PHD will be of added advantage
o 4 years cognate experience within a leading financial institution (ideally an international bank/ consulting/accounting firm)
o An individual with presence, strong analytical skills and good understanding of financial advisory services companies and the clients they serve
o Good knowledge of current and topical risk management issues as they relate to financial services companies. Familiarity with the prescriptions of the BASLE conventions will be useful
o Outstanding communication and strong presentation skills
o Between the ages of 27 - 35
The successful candidate shall execute the following tasks:
Develop a comprehensive risk management and strategic planning system.
Be the lead entity in developing strategic and business plans for the company and also formulate and implement a monitoring and review system.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets to ensure they are consistent with the strategic plan of the company.
Assist with the development and review of strategic and business plans of the company’s clients in a variety of sectors, especially oil & gas, telecoms, hospitality and manufacturing.
Familiarization with business workings and transactions of the company in order to identify various risks and then implement risk management processes
Provide detailed reports to executive management on timely basis.
Develop a robust internal control system to ensure proper financial accounting.
Coordinate and prepare budget review and strategy sessions on a timely basis.
Advise executive management on key strategic issues.
Monitor implementation and advising possible changes to strategic plan.
Constant monitoring of environment to quickly highlight issues which will have impact on company’s activities and make appropriate recommendations.
2 AccountantThe ideal candidate will possess:
o Minimum 2nd Class Upper (Bsc. Accounting or Quantitative Social Science), MBA will be of added advantage
o Chartered Accountant
o 4 years cognate experience within a leading financial institution (ideally an international bank/ consulting/accounting firm)
o An individual with presence, strong analytical skills and good understanding of financial advisory services companies and the clients they serve
o Outstanding communication and strong presentation skills
o Between the ages of 27 - 35
The successful candidate shall execute the following tasks:
Implement a robust and comprehensive accounting system
Institute necessary operational and internal controls for all relevant aspects of the business
Carry out audit correctness, completeness and accuracy from beginning of financial year
Design a budgetary analysis system for use and review in a business unit/business unit basis
Design an account profitability monitoring system for all business officers
Design a cost monitoring system for all cost centers
Do a comprehensive review and physical verification for all corporate assets
Create various financial modeling and business plans as directed
Pursue aggressive cost reduction techniques
Ensure compliance with all statutory financial reporting and compliance requirements
