« on: March 13, 2008, 10:16 AM »

Basic Tools Your Need
1 A PC mean personal computer- laptop or desktop

2 A Phone that as GPRS and Bluetooth eg the best  Nokia and Sonyerricsson model

3 Any of these to make your connection with PC select your choice for me i select Bluetooth

A Blue tooth dongle make sure it comes with installation CD

B DUK5 cable not dku 2 that as installation CD

Tip dku2 cable will not work

you must know how to create network before you can use this free solution

just go to my networkplace and create a new network

4 download        http://www.opera.com or www.mozila.pl/

5 get glo simcard i prefer

6 call customer care 112 that you want to active for GPRS

if you like downloading make sure you sownload www.dap.com or

www.download.com/Download-Accelerator-Plus/3000-2071_4-10037157.html - 71k -

email-koolzykoller@yahoo.com

more codes and solution visit www.koollifepower.com or www.koollife.net.ms

Never doubt this Free solution.

The End to Starcom multinlinks Oduatel and others

Tip you can get bluetooth at and computer  or Digital shops

you can make research with google to know what iam talking about is real

NB
for those who does not know how to make network connection fellow the instruction

guys its pretty simple and of course free, :peace:

The main idea is simple, the pc's internet connection is shared thru bluetooth to your fone!!

This will work on most s60 phone I guess! iI personally tested it on N-GAGE and N-GAGE QD works 100000%

 Step 1:
Creating an access point on your phone!

menu\tools\settings\connection\access points\options\new access point>default settings,

these are the settings u need there,

Connection Name : Anything (sugestion ADLS or Bluetooth something u remember well cuz u'll need it later!)

Data Bearer: GPRS

Access Point Name: The name you gave to your bt connection when pairing up with the computer,

Username : None

Password : No

Authentication : Normal

Gateway IP Address : 0.0.0.0

DONE HERE

 Step 2
then go to:

menu/tools/settings/connection, and select GPRS

set the GPRS connection to "when available", and the access point to "none".

The settings on your fone are done! now,  the next step;

Create a serial port connection from your pc to your phone and this serial connection must be on everytime you want to use your pc internet connection same as a gprs connection for your phone!!

no need to do this, if u have your pc suite installed,
If it is, then just keep everything ready and open your PC suite u will see the router icon connecting, once it gets connected (logo changes)
tht means u r ready to use the net, u cn close the pc suite window but make sure the mRouter is still running and connected

IF U HAVE ADSL it wud be gr8!!!!!!!!! HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!!!!!!!

Install the software u need to surf the web

Opera (N-Gage QD) (http://www.imserba.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=76843)
Opera (others)

Agile for chatting. MSN YAHOO GTALK AOL,
GET THEM FROM TED APP INDEX OR INFINS INDEX

in the software settings set the bluetooth connection as your default one
My advise to you is to use opera, the options are pretty cool and it uses less memory meaning u can still run other program such as agile at the same time

Voilá your ready to use your phone to surf and chat for free!!

hope this helped you and that is simple and clear!! any question u know how to post here, this will be updated if many doubts come up.

ps. works with ngage arena games not copied from pc, but only game cards.

FOR NOKIA 6600 its quite different so here goes,

1. Deactivate all the Checkboxes in mRouter (at least the ones of the Bluetooth COM ports)
2. Goto Bluetooth settings and Deactivate everything else in Local services than Bluetooth serial port, note the com port you set as bluetooth serial port
3. Goto Phone and Modem options, go to "Modems" add a new one, activate "I will select it from a list"
4. choose "Communications cable between 2 Computers" from the list (in Standard Modem Types)
5. Select the COM port from step3
6. in the modem settings set maximum port speed to 115200
7. goto Network Connections and create a new connection (wizard)
8. Select “Set up an advanced connection” -> Next
9. “Accept incoming connections” -> Next
10. Check the “Communications cable between two computers” -> Next
11. Do not allow VPN connections ->
12. select a username you want to give access to your pc over Bluetooth (that’s the username you will set on the phone later)
13. in the settings of that connection go to Network select TCP/IP -> Settings
14. set the IP range to something like 10.0.2.2-10.0.2.254 or, what you like
15. Remove Internet Connection Sharing from all interfaces
16. run cmd.exe and enter the following commands:
Code:

netsh routing ip nat install netsh routing ip nat add interface "YOUR LAN INTERFACE NAME" full netsh routing ip nat add interface Internal private

“YOUR LAN INTERFACE NAME” has to be replaced with the name of the interface connected to the internet
the “Internal” of the last line depends on the language of your windows (e.g. german: “Intern”

17. if there is a "Bluetooth Network" connection in Network Connections delete it

your pc should now be set correctly

go on with your 6600:
1. Download gnubox6600.sis,
Mirror 1 (http://www.streamupload.com/download.aspx?fileID=2006629645)
Mirror 2 (http://storeandserve.com/download/265263/gnubox6600.rar.html)
Mirror 3 (http://rapidshare.de/files/22018559/gnubox6600.rar.html)
and install it on your phone
2. Create a new Access Point on the phone (Setting|Connection|Access points|New access point|Use default settings).
3. Use the following settings for it:

a. Name: Bt. The name is important, the software will look for it.
b. Data Bearer: GSM data
c. Dial-up number: e.g. 2222. It doesn't matter what you have here as long as it's not empty
d. Username: the username you gave access to the incoming connection earlier
e. Promp password: No
f. Password: password for the user on Windows
g. Authentication: Normal
h. Advanced Settings: Use Login Script Yes
i. Advanced Settings: Login Script
Code:

CHARMAP [windows-1252] LOOP 10 { SEND "CLIENT"+<0x0d> WAIT 3 { "SERVER" OK } } EXIT KErrNoAnswer$ OK: EXIT

be careful that you get it exactly as show here, including linebreaks. You could save it to a file, send to the phone and copy-paste to the settings.
j. Advanced Settings: Use PPP Compression Yes

4. run the program you installed at step1 (gnubox)
5. inside gnubox: Options-> 2box Direct -> Bluetooth, select your computer, leave gnubox running in background
6. run the nokia wml browser select "Bt" as access point and connect

thats all i did,  sounds much now but i think it was worth the time i needed
i hope i could help you guys set this thing up
btw i just streamed a live tv to my 6600 over bluetooth with real helix!!!

some parts of this how-to were ripped from http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/mraento/symbian/bt-ap.html

Phone Introduction
« #2 on: March 13, 2008, 10:41 AM »

What is GSM
GSM stands for Global System for Mobiles. This is a worldwide standard for digital cellular telephony, or as most people know them Digital Mobile Telephones. GSM was created by the Europeans, and originally meant "Group Special Mobile", but this didn't translate well, so the now common more globally appealing name was adopted. GSM is a published standard by ETSI, and has now enjoys widespread implementation in Europe, Asia, and increasingly America.

There are many arguments about the relative merits of analogue versus digital, but for my mind it comes down to this: Analogue sounds better and goes further, Digital doesn't sound as good, but does a whole lot more. Check out the links page for sites that have some good discussion on the Digital v Analogue debate.

Examples of what digital can do that analogue doesn't (or doesn't do very well) are, Fax send & receive, Data calls, and Messaging.

Throughout the evolution of cellular telecommunications, various systems have been developed without the benefit of standardized specifications. This presented many problems directly related to compatibility, especially with the development of digital radio technology. The GSM standard is intended to address these problems.

From 1982 to 1985 discussions were held to decide between building an analog or digital system. After multiple field tests, a digital system was adopted for GSM. The next task was to decide between a narrow or broadband solution. In May 1987, the narrowband time division multiple access (TDMA) solution was chosen.

The GSM Network
GSM provides recommendations, not requirements. The GSM specifications define the functions and interface requirements in detail but do not address the hardware. The reason for this is to limit the designers as little as possible but still to make it possible for the operators to buy equipment from different suppliers. The GSM network is divided into three major systems: the switching system (SS), the base station system (BSS), and the operation and support system (OSS).

Service Provider Lock
The service provider (SP) lock is used to lock the cell phone to the SP's SIM card. Once the cell phone is locked to a specific operator, if one inserts a SIM card from a different operator the phone will refuse to accept it. The cell phone will however accept another SIM card from the same operator. All Nokia phones (2110 and newer) have four different SIM locks, which can be used to lock the phone for up to 4 different providers. But most phones with restriction only have one lock activated. (Lock 1) The main code used in Nokia phones is:
#pw+(master code)+Y#

Eg. To remove restriction on Lock 1 type following code:

#pw+(master code)+1#
If you just want to check your phone use 10 random numbers Eg. 1234567890 as the (master code)
eg. To check if phone if restricted on lock 1 type the following code:
#pw+1234567890+1#

NOTE: These codes could be used with care. A user told me that it's only possible to type in about 3 different codes on each lock! Then something bad will happen. Therefore be careful!

Bypass the SP lock
With a Nokia 16xx/21xx/31xx/51xx/81xx that are SIM locked to one provider you can bypass the SP lock like this:
•   1: Insert sim card of different provider.
•   2: Turn on the phone and press the UP VOLUME key for 3 sec. then release it and the phone says PIN CODE?
•   3: Press the "C" key.

•   The phone should now say: PIN CODE CHANGED (or ACCEPTED) and the SIM card is accepted until you restart the phone again.
NOTE: On version 5.04 Nokia has removed this option.

Fast silent mode
In the newer versions (v.7.11 or higher) a quick silent mode can by entered. Press Menu then #.

The 54# Tip:
Type 1#, 2#, 54# on the keypad (when you're not in the menu) to get the phone number used for with this key when speed dialing.

There are 4 different locks on your Nokia phone.

COUNTRY-LOCK

NETWORK-LOCK

PROVIDER-LOCK

SIMCARD-LOCK

The code to read out the sim-lock status of your phone is

#PW+(MASTERCODE)+(Y)#

# = DOUBLE-CROSS

W = PRESS "*" THREE TIMES

P = PRESS "*" FOUR TIMES

+ = PRESS "*" TWO TIMES

MASTERCODE = 1234567890

Y = NUMBER 1 TO

THE KOOLLIFE TRICK

If you short-circuit the left middle and right pins on the bottom of the phone with all connections touching each other, the Nokia software hangs! The profile "Headset" will be activated. Before you do this just activate the "Automatic Answer" in the headset profile and set the ringing volume to "Mute". Now you can use your phone for checking out what people are talking about in a room. Just place it under a table in a room and call it. The phone receives the call without ringing and you can listen to what people are saying.

Unlock your Samsung without a cable.
Just got my S307 tonight and had enough spare time to mess around and try to unlock it. Anyhow, this worked for my phone, and it seems like it should work for most Samsungs from what I've seen posted.

1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 work, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes.

Your phone should now be unlocked. At least mine seems to be. Let me know how it goes. By the way, I stole all of this info from the threads below. I just kinda smashed it all together.

*2767*688#
this code work also in S500 and E700
tested in 8 phone 100% work

*0001*s*f*t# -> Changes serial parameters (s=?, f=0,1, t=0,1) (incomplete)
*2767*3855# -> Full EEPROM Reset ( THIS CODE CAN REMOVE SP-LOCK ON SOME PHONES!! )
*2767*2878# -> Custom EEPROM Reset
