i love glo not just because itz my network but because it renders a comfort i don't think i can find with any other network. and their services, conectivity, network bla, bla blah is good but i sure don't know about the way they treat their staff.  |

I have heard this type of story before and am sure there is an element of truth. That said GLO really has given MTN the type of competition it needs; the only problem is that MTN has poached the very good staff in glo and are now crushing them with the same people.

After reading the site, i concur with what the guy said, that's how typical of naija "ogas" are, very egotistical and disrespectful. Why can't our CEO's be charming like Bill Gates or JFK instead of being incredibly insulting and extremely narcissistic. Globacom is just a subsidiary of CELTEL; a telecoms company founded by Mo Ibrahim, a sudanese billionaire enterprenuer and i am sure the guy didn't become a billionaire by berating everyone or treating his subordinates as slaves.

its because of your ethnocentric views Nigeria is still extremely poor. When would you open your eyes and look past your sentiments, Mike Adenuga is simply not a good guy. Go to other countries and see how they treat there managers and compare that to adenuga.

I can talk about Globacom authoritatively because i used to work there, trust me do not be deceived!!A lot of people stand on the outside and think all is nice and dandy. I am a Nigerian and i have absolutely nothing to gain or lose by saying this, first talk to everyone you know in Glo and ask if they have employment letters bearing Glo on it: Never it will either have one funyy name or the other :mine had vixen enterprices
Ask if they have medical plan in place ? No they do not!
Ask if their lives are insured?Hell no!
How often do they go on traing? Almost never!
I can assure you the indian's plight is true and for those of you who say the guy should go back home you are not being realistic truth be told we do not have the experience and the expertise for GSM tech yet and till then all networks will source from all over.
The good thing about Glo is the pay but even that has worked to the disadvantage of some who have tried to leave because they over priced compared to the experience the have.
If you want peace of mind ,job security and career growth NOT GLO
For money YES GLO

I don't like the way u sound. You really sound so unprofessional. There is what is called "confidentiality". B/C u av left glo doesn't mean u'll help them wash their dirty linen in public. You av worked wit glo be4 and frm what u said it's been long since u left. Agreed Glo has a poor management structure and don't really treat their staff as obtained in a standard company. But without bias, things are not as bad as u portray it and tey are getting better even if they are not at the best yet!! You mentioned some things not in place,
medical plan? Yes it's in place
Insurance? Yes
Pension? Yes
Training? Not regular but it's not lacking
Staff welfare? Yes. Some of these things are relatively new and don't blame them for really coming late, but the truth is it is getting better. It may take awhile bt i bliv they'll get there. Other companies u compared them to are old in this line but glo is relatively new and they are trying to get things straight. I'm not an ardent fan of Adenuga and I'm not in support of some of the things he does but let's give him time. Some may not have that patience though.
As pe the network itself, it is still the best as far as I'm concerened. Foget being patriotic, I weigh my options and I go for glo. The services are better compared wth others

I USE A GLO AND VMOBILE LINE AND I KNOW THE WAY GLO CHARGE THEIR CUSTOMERS AND ITS REALLY BAD.AS FOR NOW I THINK THE BEST TELCOM COMPANY IS VMOBILE,THEY A CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND THEY AT LEAST TRIED AND MADE THEIR CALL CENTRE FREE OF CHARGE,UNLIKE MTN N GLO ( IF YOU NO GET MONEY NA IM BE SAY YOU NO FIT CALL THEM WEN You GET PROBLEm)WHICH IS VERY BAD.
Don't follow what people are saying, do your research!
