I lot of people try to be anonymous online and are not comfortable posting there photos. But in a place like N'land it would had been cool if us Naira Landers could know each others and precisely what the ones we like and don’t like looks like, but I wouldn’t blame people using cars as a profile picture or no picture at-all "one here" when there’s no software to prevent our photos from being copied. Though I have always had my picture on my profile and sometime concern about it being used for God know what,

Most girls don't post pictures because you guys will either harrass them to death or call them ugly. Also theres a lot of 419 going on with peoples pictures. And last but not least you can be someone you are not if you hide your picture. Personally I think its nice to see the person behind the name,

A good photographer can always bring out the beauty from any pose (person) I am not photogenic neither and camera shy but I guess that’s me and it would be silly enough to be someone else when I love myself die!… and your profile’s photo is quite impressive.

Security issues for one I guess.
Lots of ladies on this site have had their pictures used without permission especially as YIM profile pics.
Although I agree it would be nice to have pics on profiles.

You’re welcome, LadyT… it’s a pity I don’t have the service of one (Photographer). And I mostly make my own photo myself (activating the timer on my Canon PowerShot) or a friend clicks the shoot button. I believe the secret to a good picture is the camera pixel and my 10mega pixel is more than enough. So I changed my mind about the photographer thing (LOL)…
And about guys harassing girls… I guess that shouldn’t be a biggy deal. The first thing is to love oneself and so what, monkey no fine e mama like am. And everyone is unique in it own way…. And, you can be fine to others and ugly to some. It’s a stimuli thing!
Using "photos" on Y!M? I think one could only post a photo in here? Can you keep us up to speed Doyin? Just pretend I am dumb *smile*

Anyway my other picture was a studio picture. Current one was done on my mobile. We don't need model type pictures we just need to get a rough idea of what the other person looks like. Not for sexual, fraudulant or evil purpose but because as humans we like to see. I mean its another human behind the screen name,

Most do not have equipped to take a picture by camera, cellphone with built-in camera, webcam or not know how to upload picture or not know how to resize smaller pixel size of photo where Nairaland attachment reject large size allowed- - - only maximum 200KB. Most do not have any image editing software to resize or optimize photo, or not know how to use it. I usually place my photo or video file on my profile on every forum I frequently access everyday. I have nothing to be ashamed who I am!!!  |
