F1 Racing: Hamilton Wellwishers Only
« on: March 19, 2008, 11:44 PM »

Boy was I pleased about the weekend's results.

My thoughts on the race

- Raikonnen's car looks fast, but its reliability might be its Achilles heel.
Hopefully by the time Ferrari sort out the issues, Hamilton would be out of sight in the points race
like Alonso and Schumacher two seasons ago

-the new laws against traction control figure to make this season quite memorable. The specter of less than
ten cars finishing a race will be seen frequently throughout the season

-Doesn't Alonso wish he had not done a 'Le Sulk' all of last season. His car doesn't look competitive at all

-How long will Massa maintain a seat at Ferrari. His drive on Sunday was appalling.

-Isn't Hamilton just a stud.  Grin

I missed the first race, I just hope he can win it this time around. Motogp started to last week, that Aussie guy looks better than the rest of them again this year.

Alonso's just a super beefer, how will you leave McLaren and go French?
My days, that car doesn't looks like sumn that can win anything.
I'll even prefer a 'Race of Champions'toy car Grin Grin

His drive was fabulous i mean safety cars where deployed 3 times in that race and he still led from start to finish and to think this boy is just 23 its black power if you ask me its nice to see brothas dominate a sport that is known for whites alone pardon me if i sound racist but with what Tiger Woods is doing with Golf i think Hamilton is the next big thing

Ooops. . . .Ferrari Strikes Back

The front row is all Ferrari I am afraid.

Mclaren are back in Eighth and Ninth with Kovalainen and Hamilton respectively.

It would be a challenge for Hamilton to rise up the board. It is from positions like this that great drivers show their mettle.

Hamilton is not far from winning this season.

He would have been close to winning today but it was the problem he had at the pit that cost him about 12-14sec. He will make poll position in the next race. And from there it will be a win win for the guy.

I think Ferrari has the fastest car. Besides Raikonen is a great driver. Anyway you can't win always, what Hamilton has to do is hang in there and get a podium in every race or some points at least. Thats one of his strong points. He's very consistent.

He's a guy I like a lot but I'D sort of appreciate it if he kept his mouth drove more and talked less. He's a bit of a big mouth.

Hope Ferrari snatch it again. . . . .  McClaren's obsession with Hamilton's success will be their downfall, the focus is so much on him that you'D think he's the only driver they've got . . . . .

Hmmso how does this intense focus explain Kovalainen qualifying ahead of Hamilton.

The clearest indication of a driver being favoured by a team is through team orders.

And Alonso's gripe last season was that he wasn't a beneficiary of these.

And so far this season, there is no evidence Hamilton has benefited from them either.

Ferrari is car is the fastest no question you need to see how Raikonnen charged from 15th on the grid to 3rd spot in the Australian Grand Prix he was just unlucky not to finish that race

@doyin
He is almost like the face of Ferrari what do you expect?Kovalainen is not a bad driver but its like having two sons whether you like it or not there is always one you would like a little more than the other

Isnt anyone watching F1 anymore?Ferrari seems to be running away with it Massa has been red hot and i think somewhere along the line they have to decide who should go for the championship!Kimi or Massa Monaco is poppin this weekend and i have this funny feeling that the tables will turn and Hamilton will actually win this grand prix i hope i am wrong though

Hamilton has been trying his utmost best to bring this season Grand Prix Trophy to Britain and Mclaren. I pray he succeed.

So far, the test in Monaco has been going well for Mclaren and Hamilton. He was the best in Monaco yesterday, I am looking forward to another success in both test and Qualifying round tomorrow.

Hamilton loves racing in Monaco because it is one of his favourite tracks and he used to be the best in Monaco. So I am expecting him to win on Sunday.

Mclaren has a very good engine but their problem seems to be the tyre.

Hamilton is my man.

Trully, Ferrari are at the top of the table right now but I still believe Mclaren can still make it to the top before the end of the season.

DRIVERS STANDING FOR TOMORROW RACE

P.   Driver                            Team              Time

1   Felipe Massa                  Ferrari    1:15.787         Pole position

2   Kimi Räikkönen              Ferrari    1:15.815         Pole position

3   Lewis Hamilton      McLaren    1:15.839

4   Heikki Kovalainen      McLaren    1:16.165

5   Robert Kubica                  BMW                1:16.233

6   Nico Rosberg                  Williams    1:16.548

7   Fernando Alonso      Renault    1:16.852

8   Jarno Trulli                  Toyota    1:17.203

9   Mark Webber                  Red Bull    1:17.343

10   David Coulthard      Red Bull    0:00.000

Hamilton tried but the Ferrari's were just too fast for the Mclaren.

I expect Hamilton to perform better tomorrow since Mclaren Drivers are used to Monaco track. Fellipe Massa may be too tough for him but I am sure he will get second place if not 1st. provided that he does not have any problem tomorrow.

Well my prediction actually came to pass i must be a clairvoyant or something.Monaco has hardly ever been Ferrari's best race track personally i hate that track its too damn slim it always rains and there are always collisions. And now Hamilton leads the drivers championship with todays win

Its too early to say though I think the ferrari car is faster, next up is the canadian grand prix which Hamilton won last year and has a good chance of winning this year again. Hamilton leads the drivers championship with a three point lead over Kimi.

I pity the german driver Adrian sutil, he was driving so well had no crash only for Kimi to bump into him, so unfair. Alonso could have had a better race if he was a bit cautious at the beginning.

Ohh Sutil is probably the unluckiest man alive.Avram Grant is a close second but seriously i had that feeling Hamilton would win.The season is just starting but i still favour Ferrari for this season their car is just too fast

Yeah the team could have had their first points of the season, too bad.

Massa has been impressive this season, hope he keeps it up. The BMW team has also been very impressive, Kubica drove well today, Hamilton's little crash at the beginning sure helped a lot in him winning the race.

With the way the tennis went for my man. . . .I would have been better served
watching F1 sha.

Saw the highlights. . . . .What a start. Beat Kimi and Webber at the start.

Great drive by Heidfeld as well. . . . .Marvellous overtaking.

Kudos to Barrichello also.  . . .Great mastery of the conditions.

This season is probably going to be the closest ever i have to give it to Hamilton though that dude has nerves of steel and seems to thrive in bad conditions better than anybody else off to Germany lets see what goes on there

Hamilton seems to be picking up the pace nicely he is in pole position tomorrow with the Ferrari's slightly behind i am still hoping they can pull a rabbit out of the hat but the Mclaren Benz's are looking faster and faster

Word is, the ferraris are actually faster on the longer run, while the Mclaren's are faster on shorter distances.

The start is crucial. ,  . .If Lewis can keep his nose in front after turn one of the first lap, he should keep his position
barring any calamities.

Watch out for Kovalainen as well. . . .he might try to pull a fast one at the start.

But My oh My, Raikonnen is sure having a bit of a mare at the moment.
