What kind of nonsense is this? To continue with this kind of inter-hate and bickering is a sign of fast approaching people death. Igbo people = Akata (of Nigeria)

I personally think both are to blame. I think both don't know anything about the other. As much as African Americans think people on the continent live in trees, Africans think that all African Americans live in Ghettos. It takes communication from both ends to learn about one another but African American are ignorant and think that wearing Kente cloth and speaking Kiswahili. Now you know something about everyone on the continent. Africans are ignorant in the sense that listening to Hip Hop, speaking slang, and dressing like African Americans that you know something about them. I think both sides need to dig deeper. First African American's must begin to realize that Africa is a continent and not one country. It has over 50 Nation-States and within each Nation-State you have many cultures. They should learn about those cultures. Africans must realize that African Americans are more than what you see on T.V. and that they do have a culture and learn about it. I think if this happened then all these misconceptions would decrease and a greater appreciation of both will occur. Both sides need to remember just because you meet someone that is African or African American, that they don't represent everyone in that group. If I keep hearing about that I met this person or that person and they are like this. Let me say this, I have met Africans and African Americans that are both ignorant!

IGNORANCE ON BOTH SIDES.
The africans believe most Black americans are on welfare, crack and go to jail.
and most black americans believe Africans lives in huts with no running water and swing on trees.
STALMATE.
One thing I can say. Black americans are NOT interested in Africans. yet Africans know more about Black americans. Black americans ARE kind of lazy and uncompetitive.
That being said.
a black in america living in poverty = air conditoned apartment, cable and plenty to eat.
I cannot say the same for Africans.
**********************************************
and because of this Black Americans should step their game up and help out.
