The best I can do is a semi-automatic illiterate anyday. Cheesy  Especially if it is a guy. . . something romantic about it like most of the guys on Nairaland! Grin  Semi illiterates are like bush meats. . . . .seasoned and hickory smoked.  Local flavor, local color.  There is something really interesting about a dude that "shells" out a few grammatical errors and displays some kind of "country minded lack of sophistication" once in a while.

Nothing like a semi-illiterate with confidence jare! Cool  They trip me well well! I will marry him fine fine!  No brushing up necessary!

Over educated dudes turn me off! Angry So so grammar all over the place.  I can't deal with those, always trying to impress themselves.

A pure starky. . . . . .hell no! Bushmeat better pass those ones!

Illiterate
A class of a large, and growing, number of people, particularly children, who are unable to read or write.
Illiteracy is beginning to take over the United States of America. After seeing all those Hooked On Phonics advertisements,
I have concluded that the country is becoming more and more filled with illiterate brats who deserve a good slapping upside the head.

Apparently, illiteracy is so common that there is evidence of illiteracy in China (the world's #2 superpower). Illiterate children is said to be the result of lazy, irresponsible parents, therefore resulting in much lack of education. It's times like this that, although education sucks, it is very necessary.

If you had a kid who couldn't read a word, wouldn't you like to slap him upside the head too?

Lmao when I saw this thread!! Cheesy Cheesy

Normally I don't think people will even think twice about not marrying an illitrate but offer a rich illitrate( a most unlikely mix right?) and see how views will change!!

I agree with u on this one 100%.
If illiteracy is the inability to read or write, then it is widely acceptable in so called "developed countries". Almost everyone, even down to celebrities and head of states are clamouring for the rights to the term "I AM DYSLEXIC", and like to wear it like a badge of honour.

I once had this obnoxious friend who dumped his pregnant girlfriend because her mum sell clothes in Isale Eko, this same girl later went on to complete an access course for matured students, followed by a degree in Nursing all in the space of four years, and is now married to another decent guy.

As for my friend, I caught up with him seven years later and he told me he was doing an access course in law in order to be able to study Law degree, BECAUSE HE IS DATING THIS GIRL IN NIGERIA WHO IS STUDYING TO BE A DOCTOR.

Can i marry an illiterate? Why not, i once had a girlfriend who worked in a bar next door to my house. Things didn't workout though but thats nothing to do with her illiteracy. I could have married her, but we're still good friends till today.
