The periods could really be a headache for real. Some ladies are blessed with subtle pains or no pains at all. But the rest of us dang! I hate it that the whole house have to know I'm on my 5dayz because of the uncontrollable pains, and i can't keep my mouth shut. I hate it when days i'm to travel falls on any of those days, especially a long distance, i could kill to take the time forward. I hate it when it rushes and i freeze, quickly looking for a girlfriend to check my back. I hate it that i have to be uncomfortable everywhere i went to, no matter how short the time.
Despite that, i still love being a female.

Being a female is the most wonderful thing. Remember we are the last and the most beautiful of God's creatures. I don't hate anything about being me. What i hate is how some ignorant people feel they have a right to treat or address me.
1. In a bus, one small boy spreads his laps wide while seated, when cautioned he tells me he is a man and it is his right to sit like that and BOTH male and female in the bus agreed with him.
2. My mother never fails to remind me when she wants to hit me below the belt that i will marry one day and as such i should not express my opinions
3. Every monkey in the yaba market grabs my arm when i go shopping.
4. An illiterate man because he has a big car feels he can just whistle , wave his hand at me and i will cross the road and run to meet him.
Of course these are the one i have experienced in the past, but being a woman means my tongue gets sharper as i get older and BOY do I use it! Why don't you shop at places like malls where monkeys don't live. You are probably one of them monkeys. |

I really pity you females, you girs are very fragile, the slightest handicap will mean so much, imagine a girl with one eye, one leg or hand anything what so ever will mean so much. Then another grows, and she is very ugly, no boobs no butt, very short, no man will even look at her, and I think is very painful, and she can not go and tell any man to come and love her. Then, another grows and she did nt get married, she will be very sad all her life. Then another marries and did nt give birth, all blame will be on her. Then another married and did not give a baby boy, all blame will come on her, upon all the science. Plus all the wahala about mensturation, every day the toilet will be full with white things I don't understand. I pity you girls, that s why I handle my girl with care, try to do every thing for her, but sometimes they don't understand, they will think you are a Mugu. Upon all these things, you girls are blessed with vey low brain. Nearly dumb brain, I am not trying to insult your hood, but is a reality. I have said it before when I was 15, and I will still say it again. Women should nt be let to suffer, I feel like crying when I see all these market women carry load, drag bus and all that. These women have womb in their stomach, very fragile things, I get goof pimples when I see such. Women spend not less than 30 minutes every day on mirrow, brushing, painting, rubbing, and without that they will not look good. There is nothing like being a man, MEN praise the lord? we were really created and women were extracted. So you men, who don't know how to toast a woman, you ve seen how much power you got, go toast one, they need you LOL.

The challeges of pregnancy & delivery definitely, stands women out as being not only very strong physically but emotionally as well.

Now this is one interesting hell of a post (the only one i've read completely), When the nurse said "Its a boy ", that was one of the best things thats happened to me!
If u read your Bible well: GOD DIDNT CURSE THE MAN, he only cursed the ground on his behalf, but HE CURSED THE WOMAN (Gen3:16), i guess that explains the monthly visitors - Blame Eve!
All said, i think women are one of the best things that could have happened to this world (I can't thank my mother enough for what she's done in my life).

There have been a number of references to pain of child bearing, dealing with disability and heartbreak,,,, Why do u think a woman gets to deal with these most often, that's because she has the strength to deal with it and move on. The gift of being a woman is the strength to love your child unconditionally even if u almost dies will giving birth, its the courage to start again when you've lost everything, its wiping your tears when your heart has been basically riped out and stamped on and still be capable of love so pure. A friend once told me of how he was in the labour room while his wife gave birth to their son, he said he never felt so helpless seeing the agony she was, he believed she would die and all he could do was weep. then the baby was born and she smiled, he said that was the most miraculous thing he had ever seen. Weakened after all the pain, she held on to the child and couldnt stop smiling, then she said the most shocking words, "the next one would be a girl". he asked me how a woman could go through all that and in the next second smile like nothing happened and make plans for the next time. he said seeing that made him recognise the strength of s woman and respect his wife more than ever. we are blessed with the gift of forgetting pain and anguish, the courage and strength to move on and do what needs to be done and the capacity to love unconditional love. some ignorant buffoon actually commented that women have smaller brains (i feel sorry for u because u are obviously a lost cause). women have been suppressed for centuries because men feel threatened and thank God some of them are beginning to open their eyes, it is infact a scientific fact that the female brain has developed the ability to concentrate on two things simultaneously. we've had centuries of managing family so we are natural managers, more women are successful at running a home and career and most importantly men need woman to care for them and run their homes,,, but today's woman don't actually need men, not many people are wiling to accept this but that's the way things are going.  |

I didn't know what it was like to being a woman until my twin sister of 12 years could not go to school with me one day on account of "serious stomach cramps" as my mama put am. It continued the next day and I still did not understand until about a year later. If you really do not like to have your monthly period, you could try using Mirena coil.
Although not for everyone. You can have it in place for 5 years and your period can be very much lighter and shorter and not frequent or you might not even have any period at all.
This I will only recommend for married women that might want to space out their children or might have stopped having babies.
You can also remove it whenever you wish to start trying for a baby.
By the way , I love being a female.

i don't hate being a female, what i hate is what the society thinks of females
what most people hate - the woman's physiology- is wot i consider a major advantage, here lies a few:
1.a. pain or no pain, on my first days i get to go off- work for at least half the day, lol
b. get my man to keep his hands off me, phew
c. get woteva i want because he thinks if i dnt, i'll bleed all over the place in anger, he still doesnt know better, etc etc
2. where you have to comply wih the dictates of the society and not at our own pace
3. where irresponsibility/ infidelity on the part of the male species is considered acceptable, but is a taboo for the females
4. the biological clock thing, aargh,
funny, i wont trade my womanhood for anything in this world and even in the next
meen, have the physical strength, but we have the rest
