A Woman Running Naked
« on: March 25, 2008, 08:22 AM »

I was just entering Ikotun market@ Alimosho L.G.A. yesterday to sell my goods
when suprising i saw a woman  running "NAKED ROUND THE MARKET BECAUSE A CHILD DROP FROM HER BACK".It was astonish how we Nigerian cherish our culture through
the way other market women and passerbye applaude what this naked woman is doing.
Who ran round the market 7 times before stopping and carry the baby GIRL WHO DROP FROM HER BACK WHICH IS THE COURSE OF HER RUNNING ROUND THE MARKET TO SAVE THE FUTURE OF THE BABY GIRL,
What is your opinion about the woman, the culture of running naked because a baby girl drop from her back.

A frog they say does not jump out in a daytime except it is being pursue by something.Did you stop to ask why she ran naked? perhap there must be something behind her nakedness. It is really uncalled for for a reasonable human being to just naked herself in that manner in a market place for that matter.

It got to do with some kind of ritual. Backwardness, uncivilization and Illiteracy is the cause.

what love can do. . . . .mothers loveso deep  Kiss
lol we might all call it whatever we wish, ignoranceilliteracy . . .stupid culture/tradition BUT the main motive behind that action is love .the poor woman loves her child so much that she went past caring what or who is seeing her nakedness. she was trying to save her childs future .

i have never heard about that tradition before or ever seen it but having read your story,i know its love.Be it right or wrong, the woman was just bent on saving the childs life.

Come my village see naked women with dangling teats all over the place. Naked old men with shrivelled. pendulous balls.  Nakedness does not mean anything to the old.  It is a very realistic form of expression especially if you want to curse someone and the curse will have no cure.

If I want to curse any Nairaland member, I just go naked and stand in front of my development at exactly 12 midnight.  Call the members name like 7 times and transfer all I wish to happen to that person in the dead of the night. Cheesy  Watch them dissapear or turn to ghosts on Nairaland. Cheesy

If you want the desired effect of anything you wish for earnestly, just strip in the middle of the night as a female and hold both breasts in your hand and just keep chanting.  If you are a guyhold your two or one and a half balls in your hand.  The rest is history.

Small thing now. Grin

Thank you jare for your infinite understanding.  It is not like anyone stripped her naked.  This is purely voluntary.  The best form of expression there is.  It has nothing to do with sex or seduction.  This is the utmost appeal to mother nature.  Talk about crying out to the most high of all powers.  Just as I feel people who speak in tongues are mad, that is how some feel this woman is demented and backward.

I love it!

Why complain?

Nakedness of women is in vogue. Is it not?

The whiteman that gave us jeans and t-shirts, are now ditching them for dross and some loin clothes around the groin Grin
Give the woman a chance. She is exercising her fundamental human right- the right to self expression.
The oyibo applaud nakedness so what's wrong with her. Give her a grammy pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHi Almondjoy, no be so?

Meanwhile as AJ said, nakedness of a woman has a very strong conotation in african culture.
Do not look down on it.
