Unbelievable! More Foreign Clubs` Fans Than Local Clubs` Fans In Our Land

Why do we have more foreign clubs` fans than local clubs` fans (if any) in our land ? Everywhere you go, you hear slogans like Up Blues ! Gunners for life! and so on. When are we going to start hearing slogans like Up Peoples elephant ! Pillars for life and so on.

Individuals and corporate bodies have abandoned our local league to cheer and support the European leagues. How do we develop our local football when we don`t have interest in it? When there are failures people will start calling for the heads of NFA and NFL.Remember our nollywood movies/music are selling today (in Africa and beyond) not because they are the best but because of the support and acceptance they recieve back home.

In Brazil, football fans cheer their local league clubs/players and other foreign clubs they could find a Brazilian. If we are passionate about our things here in no time we will attract both foreign and local sponsors to develop our game.

I can`t imagine it myself that everybody in our country are really going crazy for this foreign clubs. U see their stickers and banners everywhere. You will never find that of a Nigerian club. On the pages of our local newspaper, they dedicate a very some portion for our local sport news while the foreign news are used as headlines. na wa how things go continue this way ?
